Very special hotel, located in the very beginning of the historical sink road route and next to the museum of silk road. This is not a modern type of hotel, but definitely has a feel of history. Quite luxurious amenities. Also located in the very center of the city.

I really liked staying in this hotel. It is located at a beautiful car-free square in the centre of town, where people gather in the afternoon for walking, group dancing and a small fair. Many shops and coffee houses such as Starbucks are situated on and around this square.
The square in front of the hotel perfectly fits to the relaxed atmosphere and peace you find inside the hotel. Staff is very friendly and really do their best to speak English. Some speak just the necessary words, other more, but they all do their best. Rooms are spacey, well furnished in a kind of imperial style. Little touch panels in your room allow you to adjust lighting and close the curtains. They need a bit of practicing, and when I entered the room at night I therefore accidentally pressed on the only real button I could find next to the bed - which proved to be the alarm button once I had found a light switch. A quick telephone call to the reception helped.
Beds were excellent and my hotel room was very quiet during the night. Sanitary is excellent and Wifi fast. Breakfast did not have an extensive choice but was of good quality.
In all, this hotel can definitely be recommended.

This is a VERY nice hotel. I stayed here for 3 nights while playing a concert in Xi'an. Rooms were great, staff was wonderful, and the setting is impressive. The plaza in front of the hotel is a hub of activity, with dances, exercise groups and families hanging out. There are more restaurants in the area and in the mall next door than you would ever need. The Korean BBQ place on the plaza was to die for, and I had a huge tasty bowl of noodles in the lower level of the mall (one of many small eateries) for 12 yuan ($1.90). You can walk into the neighborhood where there are fruit and vegetable markets, a great place for a foot massage, and any number of small shops. I didn't have time for the Museum, but it looked fascinating. The bus across the street, or an inexpensive cab ride, gets you easily to the Muslim district, which is an experience in itself.

I really loved this place!!! Nice, and FUN!

As the photographs attest, this has to be one of the most photogenic hotels in Xi'an, decked out like a Tang dynasty palace. I had a luxurious room with robot curtains that would automatically shut out the daytime sun if I went out. The restaurant food was of high quality, and a large proportion of the staff spoke excellent English. L'Occitane toiletries in the bathroom were a welcome indulgence.

If you stay at this hotel, you are also largely paying for the environment in which it is situated, right next door to the under-rated Silk Road Museum, which is built directly over the ruins of the original western market of Tang-era Chang'an. The nearby shopping mall features all the usual accoutrements, as well as a "Silk Road Street" designed to imitate the architecture of India, Iran and other places westwards.

It is, however, some distance away from other parts of the city that are liable to attract tourists. No metro line comes here yet, and although it is easy to find a taxi, less than one in ten drivers seem to know how to find the vehicular entrance to the hotel itself, which is hidden down a maze of side streets -- I suggest giving up and getting them to drop you at the plaza itself, which everybody knows.

One odd element of my room was the absence of a proper shower. Instead, there was a piddly little hand shower in the bath which had to be pulled out of a socket. A previous occupant had clearly pulled too hard, and the joint had been bodged back together with masking tape.

we stayed 4 days here at the end of May 2015. It is a beautifully presented hotel but a bit souless. The staff tried to be helpful but they were clearly not used to western families travelling. The staff only spoke basic English.
Food was not great.
Seemed to be mainly catering to wealthy business people.
