This is one of the best museums and centres I have ever seen - and I have seen a lot. The Tolerance centre provides information on relationships, tolerance, medical advice and many other subjects. The museum provides an excellent summary of Jewish history and persecution in eastern Europe, with super modern interpretation, video, sound, and various high tech and interactive exhibits. As well as the culture, it explains the holocaust, and also persecution under the Soviet Government. This place is a must see for anyone interested in Jewish culture and human rights.

An excellently designed space, providing a history of Jews in Russia and around the world, with an interactive film in a theatre too

I have been to Jewish museums all over the worls in every continent. This is the best in my opinion. The use of the multi-media enahnces the experience. You can do the museum in chronological order, with TV's clicking on biographies indispersed throughout the museum or you can look at specific events, or historical recreations. It's endless. This is all from the Russian experience. It is very modern, easy to follow, exceptionally well curated and designed. The restaurant is good to. A must do.

Large space organized eclectically around themes: Jewish history, Soviet/Russian Jewish history, Tolerance, etc. The highlight (running through September) was the Vladimir Vysotsky special exhibit coupled with his music. Quite interesting for those of us with Eastern European roots.
