Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Bascon, a true Bacolod institution which my friends have been raving about and it didn't disappoint. Had their allo oglio pasta as well as the bangus and their other specialties like the chicken relleno which my family enjoyed.

Although the place in itself looks tired and in dire need of an update, we surely had a great time still. Highly recommended. We were stuffed to the brim.so we didn't have any space for their desserts but there's always a next time!

Its a 5 min walk from OResidences, wifey and myself ate beef stroganoff, callos, palabok and cappuccino coffee. The food tasted great, the service was good and total cost so affordable!

On our last day in Bacolod, we had breakfast at Bascon Cafe. We ordered bacon, callos, roast beef, palabok and cappucino

They are all good especially the palabok. Our bill is php 765 for 3 persons. Same price we paid at kuppa when we had our breakfast there yesterday.

If to compare both cafes, i suggest you try both. Although i prefer the taste and price of Bascon.

My husband and i enjoyed our coffee here. I wanted to try their pavlova but they were out. Ordered silvanas/sansrival (not sure) instead and it didnt disappoint, original and choco flavor. The place is very cozy. Noticed a few asian foreigners coming and going. We also tried their chorizo pizza for some local flavor. It was ok..

Prices are also reasonable bordering on cheap considering they have very nice interiors. As they say IG-able.

The best offerings this restaurant and cafe are their pasta and cakes.
For pasta, go for spaghetti bolognese and pesto.
For cakes I highly recommend you try their baba cake and chocolate chip banana cakes.
