Went there on the first day of our trip. I was so glad that we went there first. We had a very good "first impression" of the whole city. The food all looked appetizing. We ordered the famous taba ng pusit and it was delicious. Their grilled blue marlin is the best I tasted. It was flavorful and tender. We always loved clams, their soup was fresh but a bit on the salty side. The price was reasonable and the ambiance is great. The waiters were very accommodating. Will surely go back.

Aboy’s has long been a favorite (like more than 20 years a favorite) and a place to go when cravings for good Pinoy food are at a high. There is seriously nothing bad about this place, except the compulsion to break diet and EAT.
Tip: order from the menu first then go to the turo-turo bar. Your food arrives all at the same time and there’s minimal waiting.
Order the scallops if they’re in season. Squid Fat is heaven with garlic rice. Bopis, Bicol Express, and Kangkong are must haves. Then there is the fresh fish tinola you have to order.
A trip to Bacolod isn’t complete without a stop at Aboy’s.
