booked four days...asked for pick up from airport quoted 1200 pesos...ummm taxi 245 pesos...arrived room offered queen or king...both same...so went with king...than had to pay for full stay up front...14500 plus taxes....room was puck green with dark wood work...balcony was very small...room for 1 person only....asked for dinner..not available..room service not available..was told i could go to SOTO GRANDE over the road....im glad i did as the food at this hotel is excellent and at the right price point and available to 3am...ok back to Vista Mar...pool very good...views excellent...house keeping very good and beds very good....down side rooms not well maintained, sink leaking, wood panels broken, ac very load and noisy...breakfast inconsistant, day one buffet, day two all cart but no fruits..toast was just bread, no butter or lurpac,,,no chocolate, no water yes no water...no fresh fruit juice just tang squash which was to strong....had lunch two sandwiches, two cokes..one ice cream...only strawberry avaiable...1300 peso...you can have the same at SOTO GRAND for 750 peso....when i asked i was told that the bill has tax to be added...so 90 pesos for coke then add tax two cokes 90 plus 90 pese eqals 180 pesos..charges 224 pesos a 17 centarvos....what a ripe off...the manager should be ashamed of his business acumen...when you want ti book a taxi into town the is a pre charge of 100 pesos..then the taxi fare...or you can book private car at 100 pesos more than your taxi fair.....this hotel is out of the way and you need to go through a squatters village to get to resort....would i recommend...a big NO.....look else where....the SOTO GRAND is very good....but you still have to go through squatters areas...and walking does not feel safe in these areas.......ive rated terrible but due to tax issue would rate poor....not a safe or comfortable place to be except at pool or in room ...i did file out hotel comment form and explained my points when checking out...
