The museum is well maintained. You will see some memorabilia of past Cardinals of Cebu and other religious items. The collection of statues of saints came from different parishes is the best exhibit for me. The tour guide will tell you some very interesting facts about the statues. Some exhibit is off limit for photo shoot. It will take you 30 minutes - 1 hour for this tour. After the tour, you can try some of the Cebu's street foods located beside the museum.

The museum is being managed by the Archdiocese of Cebu so expect to see a lot of religious artifacts from all around the region. The staff and tour guides are very friendly and accommodating. This landmark should be included in the city tours.

The Cathedral Museum of Cebu, opened in November 2006, is the ecclesiastical museum of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cebu. As such, its focus is regional Church architecture and artifacts. Many of the items on display are from the Spanish colonial times. These are housed in a building which is in itself a museum piece. The building was one of the few extant structures in downtown Cebu City that was totally spared from the ravages of World War II. It also survived uninformed renovators and the natural elements.

This attraction is one of the landmarks that you should visit in Cebu to better understand the impact of Catholicism in the Cebuano and Bisaya lifestyle and culture.

Small entrance fee for a 45 - 60 minute experience. We were guided through the museum by Baby. She was informative and very friendly. Plenty of artifacts and, photos. This place adds to experience of Santo Nino Basilica and nearby attractions. The Yap House and the Jesuit House are within walking distance of the museum. Combine some or all the attractions to increase your understanding of the history of Cebu city.
