It’s all about expectations here. The price is very low (we paid <15USD for a twin room), so don’t expect a Ritz Carlton experience, you get a room with the basics – that’s it. Our standard room was of adequate size, had no windows, a TV with many satellite stations, an individual AC that was adjustable in temperature (other reviews said it isn’t). The bed was a bit hard but manageable. Sheets and pillow covers were clean. The superior rooms may have windows, but that can also mean that you have street noise. Internet speed was quite ok. You need to ask for a voucher which is good for 24hrs and one device only. We got two vouchers, maybe you can get more if you ask. The staff at the reception was professional and helpful, not overly friendly but definitely not unfriendly, as some other reviewers commented. They happily gave us information on what Jeepney numbers to use and provided us with an adaptor for the wall plug. All AC outlets in the hotel are US style flat prong. Note that you are required to leave a 1000 Peso cash security deposit upon check-in. There are several signs that explain that you won’t get the deposit back if you smoke in your room. The lobby looks very old and run down, again: this is not the Ritz. There are some tables and you can order food and drinks, the AC is nice and cold though. but it’s not a place you want to spend any more time than absolutely needed. The do keep luggage for safekeeping when you check out, don’t know for how long though we only needed it for a few hours.

The location of the Hotel is in a busy part of town that is somewhat rundown, but we never felt unsafe – even at night, when we walk around looking for a place to have dinner. There’s a 24hr Metro supermarket around the corner too.

Overall this place is good to stay for one night on your way in or out of Cebu, especially if you travel to/from the southern bus terminal.

BTW: “Nuat Thai” around the corner has good 1hr massages for 200Peso.More
