First the place; nice informal spacious restaurant with comfy chairs excellent a/c (essential for those of us who normally live in cooler climates). Service very good.
I love Filipino food, but there can be a tendency for food to be what I would call over seasoned - not necessarily too salty, though that can be the case; but too much seasoning that one cannot appreciate the taste of the meat itself. Thankfully this was not the case for Rekado; while not all of the dishes were exceptional, every single one was good, and the presentation was good too.
While I am a meat eater, one in our group was veggie and we made an effort to order some veggie dishes. The 'four seasons' shown in photo went down very well, and I liked the tofu dish too. Re the meat dishes, I am generally not a fan of beef unless it's a steak, but the beef dish was very good.
