You feel transported into another place when you arrive. Outside the compound it's a very typical Metro Manila, but as soon as you go in it feels like you're in a Filipino provincial hacienda with modern amenities. It's mostly quiet, pretty cozy with French music playing softly on most areas. The staff are friendly and accommodating and all smiles. They greet you when you pass by. The food is good but pricey so I would suggest eating out/delivery. Do request a room away from the street as you can hear motorcycles/tricycles/jeep when you're placed near the gate entrance.

Amazingly beautiful room with excellent staff and restaurant. There is a little noise to heard from the hotels location in the middle of Manila. But, an amazingly beautiful and neat hotel. I recommend the hotel.

Grounds are good as set well back from the road but location is quite remote as quite far to walk to nearest restaurant or 7-11, both about 15 minutes walk. Rooms and staff are good but the restaurant remains disappointing with very limited and boring menu and quite expensive. I have come hear occasionally for several years and the menu doesn't seem to have changed at all although the salad that came with the breakfast (impressively with raspberry dressing!) has shrunk considerably from a small bowl to a tiny offering wrapped in cucumber with a coffee refill now charged by the cup.

Room Tip: If you like a cuppa, bring a mug as the cups are so, so small ...but at least they changed the almost impossible to open ground coffee bags.

Dear y0urewelc0me,

We truly appreciate that you took time to write us a review. Our coy rooms and topnotch service from the team has been applauded by many, and thank you for pointing that out in your review.

Our sincerest apologies regarding the menu and your overall restaurant experience with Apartment 1B. The restaurant is known to be serving the best comfort food in town, however it doesn't please you much. Your opinion matters to us and rest assured that I have immediately forwarded your concern to the Operations Manager of Apartment 1B to personally get in touch with you.

Please do come back and we hope to see you again at The Henry Hotel.

Me and my kids stayed here for a night. I was fascinated by its design. Its like an ancestral house or a heritage house. I love the idea of having this place hidden in the city. It feels like youre in an old movie. We will definitely go back.

Stayed here last week after flying in from UK. Request led flowers in the room on arrival, this did not happen due to independence day holiday. Checked in fine room was great although low lighting made it difficult to see at times when you needed a decent level. Woken up next morning to find there always no liquid milk in the room as part of the complimentary tea and coffee facilities. Not even the little cartons of UHT. The milk I had delivered to room the carried a bill and a room service charge... Never known this before. The food in the restaurant was good although the bar closed at ten pm which was a pity as we really fancied a post flight vodka or 6. All in all staff were attentive. Didn't see much of the outside facilities as it rained cats and dogs while we were there.

Dear Gerry S,

Thank you for spending some time to share your experience about how your stay with the Henry Hotel went. We truly are grateful to know that despite the "bed-weather" you still had a great time.

I apologize should our complimentary coffee and tea provided in each room have no fresh or liquid milk. Keeping milk in our minibar fridge is very risky and may provide hazards to our guest's health. This is why we provide individually packed powder creamers as part of the set-up.

Nonetheless, we have taken note of your preferences including the Vodka, and we will do our best to have these available on your next visit.

I am looking forward to welcoming you back in the hotel and this time, for a much longer stay.
