Ooma was casual and well laid-out, with music blaring. We sat at a corner table and ordered some of the popular favourites: California Taco Maki, Scallop and Tuna Aburi Maki, Hamachi and Kani Aburi Maki, O-Gyoza, Salmon Tataki, Kani Salad, and House Chahan.

Even just witnessing other people's orders, presentation was meticulous, beautiful, and mouth-watering. Taste offered a variety of textures and each bite seemed different from the last. We really enjoyed all the maki; each was a different take with different levels of crunch, softness, sweetness, and wholesome umami flavours. The house chahan was a good touch, tasty and filling. Our only complaint was with the Salmon Tataki; it lacked in freshness and character but presentation was nonetheless flawless. I think Mom wanted to order more dishes just to see how they looked and tasted like!

One had to ask for tea quite often as wait staff didn't give us much mind, but they were attentive and helpful when asked. A great up-sell had us signing up for the discount card as well; we knew we'd be right back whenever we needed our Japanese cuisine fix. The food can be pricey, especially with the relatively small serves, but it's definitely worth every penny and worth it to try a wide selection of dishes.

Many friends recommended Ooma and we just tried the restaurant in a spontaneous afternoon. We appreciate the amazing customer service, Jess did a great job. She was very attentive and polite. The food was tasty, but it's some kind of a japanese fusion restaurant. The maki were good, but because of the many different incredients makes it hard to taste the fish. Overall a good place to eat, though i won't call it a japanese restaurant. 5 stars for the service and 3 stars for the food.

The quality of this place is good. The food is unique and service ain't bad. Drop by when you find yourself in Megamall especially if you spot there's no line (rare on peek hours!)

My niece's birthday lunch treat. Surprisingly, long line of waiting for a table. Restaurants to the left and right of Ooma was literally empty, so this Japanese restaurant must be good said my thought balloon. We waited for almost 30 minutes to get a table. And it was worth the wait. REALLY good food! This is the type of restaurant you'd keep coming back to. Thumbs up!

It's good but different from a typical Japanese restaurant. The steak is good , taco sushi ( I don't remember exact name) and some other sushi. There's usually a lot of people during peak times and weekends. This is one of the restaurants I like in SM Megamall but I don't remember where else their other branch is located.
Worth trying !
