Lovely hotel with fantastic staff especially Danny the pool attendant and the staff in the firefly restaurant. We have spent 11 days at the hotel and would highly recommend to other travellers. The view from the roof top bar is amazing, we have witnesses some beautiful sunsets while dinning in the restaurant

Good affordable hotel at prime site

The hotel is fine, good size and good service. Word of caution: when going for massage, inquire about the oil they use. The three of us guests developed rashes at the napes and antecubitus or fold areas of our bodies. The massage staff might want to consider telling their customers the oil or lotion they are using. Their massage staff are not as good as the other hotels we went to. We gave generous tips not knowing the oil or lotion will give us some allergic reaction.
Their buffet breakfast is also not as appealing as other hotels. I could have just chosen the continental breakfast and be happy with my less expensive meal.
Their rooftop bar restaurant is amazing. Good food and nice bar. The sight is fantastic. You can relax there with your friends at night with the swimming pool on the side of the bar.

Mostly excellent but request a mattress topper and beware sudden 1000 lights off in buffet

Our stay in room 1901 was generally excellent, with great aircon, an ottoman and two chairs, terrific instant hot water in the spacious bathroom and a great walk in shower plus a bath.

Despite limited English room attendant Mark did a great job.

Be sure to request a mattress topper. This made a huge difference to sleep quality on our second night in this King room. These should be fitted as standard.

The breakfast buffet varied between days. Good! However it was poor that at precisely 1000 hours, lights were switched off at the hot stations. The buffet should operate from 0600 to 1030 not just 0700 to 1030.

Staff at reception were overworked. Perhaps an extra person is needed?

RBath towels were small and not fluffy.

There was an iron and ironing board in the wardrobe.

Lighting was good as was the number of power points.

WiFi was fast and bed linen great.

You won't go wrong here.

Hi there, i am Kisha T and i check in at City grand hotel at room 1407. i want to commend Aldrin. For being a good room attendant as he respond to all our request and he really clean and take care of our room as well as his guest. He really takes care his guest and communicate in a very nice way. i recommend him for being a good room attendant. Thank you for your care.

Unforgettable place

Very friendly staff, especially Jomaica in the restaurant.She is very nice and helpful.
The restaurant has a rich food . The Hotel is clean with a nice view to the citycenter.
The rooftop with pool and restaurant has an unforgettable ambiance and a great view.

Room tip: Go to the rooftop.
