Overall, we had a great stay. Near shops, convenient location, the washer & dryer was a plus, outstanding staff (friendly, courteous, helpful). However, there seemed to be less variety of food options (for breakfast) and restaurant service seemed slower compared to previous stays. Despite, the servers were very helpful and friendly.

We really had a great time spending Christmas in Aruga by Rockwell. They were really accommodating and we felt the concern of all the staff and employees to make sure we are comfortable and happy with our stay.

We have stayed in this hotel four times now, and we're satisfied every time. First time we did was for my parents' bday. They immensely enjoyed, and had especially high praises for the breakfast. The second time I did was with my fiance. We found the shower heater a bit lacking that stay, but we were able to stay in and cook in the kitchen so it was great. The third time I did was for my wedding. Several key staff were incredibly helpful, warm, and accommodating--Dino, Ber, Dee, and Khalil were so prompt, nice, and attentive to our needs the entire stay. We didn't book the wedding package so we had limitations in where our videographer can shoot, but Ber was able to help us make things happen. The last time I stayed was with my husband to relax. The pool could be warmer at night, the breakfast could have more options, but we were looking to relax for a weekend and that's exactly what we got. Bonus: it's connected to Power Plant Mall so you can just shop for ingredients and get cooking in your room.

We booked a 2-Bedroom Suite for an overnight stay in Aruga by Rockwell (Nov 2019) for a spa-themed surprise bridal shower. We initially found it difficult to find a hotel in Makati that allowed mobile spa services or had their own in-house spa.

Aruga was exactly what we were looking for. Guest services (special thanks to Rafa Lladoc/Michelle Garcia) were helpful in answering our questions pre-arrival. They accommodated our special request to have a friend enter the room (person different to the one who made the booking) to set up the place prior to the bride-to-be’s arrival. The 2-Bedroom Suite was spacious and comfortable. Aruga’s spa technicians stayed until late to finish all the services we requested. The suite included an en-suite toilet for the master bedroom, a common toilet, a kitchen complete with utensils / plates / glasses and fridge, a laundry room with washing machine AND its own toilet (so 3 toilets in total), and a sala. There is a terrace with a view of the Pasig River and the opposite bank – didn’t notice any unpleasant smells in the rooms, although we did keep the door leading to the outside terrace closed. Aruga itself is a short walk away from the Power Plant mall.

Note Aruga has a party policy (ask the front desk staff when you book).

Overall, recommended for an intimate bridal shower venue or if you need a spacious apartment in the Makati area to host a big family. Will book Aruga by Rockwell again!

The staff are not helpful.. They will let you guess how to go about your stay.. When i checked in i asked if there is parking she said there is but did not bother to give me a parking pass. So i got my car and when im about to park the parking guard asked for the parking assignment i dont have any. I have to go back to reception to ask for the parking assignment and the reception told me to go to the door guard to ask for parking assignment. When I checked out the reception desk asked for my parking pass! I told her you did not give me any so why are you asking for it now????
Everyone was rude - nobody greeted us good morning or afternoon. Even the receptionist at the breakfast place is also kinda defensive. She told me Im only entitled to 2 breakfast. We are only 2, so why tell me im only entitled to 2???
the worst is when we checked out - the bellboy took our baggage and our car keys teeling us he will just get the car and to wait at the lobby. So when the car arrived at the lobby , we gave him tip and went our way. After 5 minutes somebody was calling- it was the bell boy telling me our baggage was left at the hotel - he forgot to load it in the car!!! and asked us to go back! The worst worst worst Service and experience ever!!! we will never go back there ever!
Even the guard at the parking was rude - i asked for direction but did not answer me. I picked up my things from the car in front of her but she did not try to help!
