3 night stay for 2 adults, 2 kids in the Junior Suite. Great package- cost around 50k air miles (I think $450+)- including buffet breakfast I one of two restaurants with a great, fresh, international spread; high tea just as good as the Peninsula Bangkok (and far better than anything on offer at 'tea and toast' in this former British Army officer's mess); and best of all cocktails from 6-8 (superb Singapore Sling). The suite was amazing, all staff were friendly and were great guides to local conveniences. Room clean and tidy and very, very swank. Pool food on the fourth floor (I think shared with the Fairmont hotel) good but not stellar- though staff very attentive, as expected. The view is Makati- hardly the most romantic skyline but other five stars in Manila are located in far less aesthetically pleasing 'hoods.
Worth the splurge after 2 days on planes and before a day long drive up to Ilocos Sur.
