Oxford suites is a decent hotel to stay.
About the hotel -
1. The rooms are good and spacious. There is a balcony that can be opened on request, good for fresh air!.
2. The breakfast is resonable, though as an Indian I felt a little out of options but that's an usual feeling almost at all places abroad. All in all the breakfast is all right. Didn't try other meals so no comments.
3. There is a gym..it's basic and will do.
4. The facilities are all right within the hotel.
About location of property -
This is where it gets interesting. This place is right on the red light district of makati at P.Burgos Street.
People travelling with family or with kids may feel uncomfortable in the locale.
Everytime you come out or getting into the hotel ..you are going to be approached by the "interesting people" ..
If you are someone who wants to have fun and good times ..you will like it.
The are many bars and clubs here to checkout.

Dear Monkwantstobuyferari,

Than you very much for choosing Best Western Oxford Suites Makati and for sharing your experience. We are pleased to read your feedback that you find your room good and spacious. We try to balance our breakfast selection within the hotel standard so that everyone has a choice and we welcome special request with what ever stocks available in our our kitchen. You are right that our location is at the entertainment area of makati and we hoped you had the chance to explore more of the area other than the bars nearby. Just a few walking distance, we have two big malls (Century City and Rockwell) and hundreds of specialty restaurants and coffee shop around.

Again, we appreciate your review of the hotel and we hope to be at service to you again and have the chance to explore more of our nearby area.

Best regards,

Marlon Samson

Positive : The location of the hotel is exactly at P Burgos St which is the red light district at Makati Ave. Guest friendly hotel. Rooms are super clean. Also provided a Smoking room on demand.

Negative : Laundry charges are way to expensive & are not disclosed at the sheet provided & are charged at Hotel checkout from the Security deposit.

Room Tip: Ask for Higher floor

We stayed for 2 nights with 3 rooms. Smelly room and too humid. First night, we have trouble with sink in the bathroom and they skipped to make up one room. Then, they took so long to send their housekeeper in the evening, we waited more than 30 minutes. Second day, they do not provide mineral water at the restaurant. They only provide instant orange, mango juice, milk ,hot water, lipton sachet (green tea) I asked for black tea because there is only green tea and i don't like it, because in first day they provided the black tea, then they said "we dont have it, the tea only green tea, maybe tomorrow the black tea will be available". This event has left me with bad impression with the hotel.

When I last stayed at Oxford Suites the rooms were looking very tired and even dirty due to the paint fading and the coverings and curtains showing the wear and tear of usage over the years.
I was very pleasantly surprised to discover the hotel had been recently renovated with repairing of the rooms ,ew bedspreads and curtains.sadly no new carpets but the original carpet was made to last a lifetime.Oxford Suites offers the best size rooms, large bathrooms and tea and coffee facilities and even a mini bar at very reasonable prices. Located very close to the new Century Plaza Mall and supermarkets it offers great value for money and now that it shines with its new colours it comes recommended

Room Tip: see if you can book room 2602 to 2606. want laundry done at a ridiculous price try Let's talk dirty just down from the hotel

Though a bit shopworn, this Burgos St. landmark has withstood the test of time reasonably well, and offers excellent value for money in the heart of Manila’s most expensive and likely most well known area. Admittedly, it’s also in the heart of the red light district, which might be a disincentive for families with children, and the surrounding neighborhood, while not at all dangerous or threatening is surely raucous and “colorful.” That said, the place offers literally dozens of dining options within a hundred meters of the hotel, quick access to taxis and a virtual 24 hour street parade of colorful characters.

The rooms are good size and, though the decor is attractive, the furnishings are by no means new, though they’re in good repair. The service is extremely pleasant and the staff does its best to please. The hotel also offers free Internet, though during my most recent stay the service was somewhat slower than I had remembered, and a bit erratic.

The bathrooms are clean, with plenty of hot water and the bathroom amenities, though a bit sparse, are sufficient for most needs.

Room Tip: I’d suggest the higher floors as the street noise can be a bit overwhelming during celebration times.
