We've been checking in at the Manor around 5x this year already and have booked the 2BR, 1BR and superior rooms. Based on experience we can see the hotel is trying to improve its services. The manager, Romeo is very accommodating and attentive. I also noticed one hotel department that stood out in terms of service and CONSISTENCY and just for them, made up our whole experience. They are the ones based on the main driveway (the bellboys, the security, the valet) . All those 4 visits they just didnt open car doors or get your bags or cars but they focused on guest experience and connecting with the guests in little ways:
1. When they opened car door to welcome us, one noticed i had a plastic of trash from our long trip and instantly asked if he could throw for us.
2. Every time we go out and come back, they would always greet my child and ask how his day went. They remember details which shows they arent just saying things out of a "script".
3. They gave my son a balloon to entertain him while ee wait for check out which for me should be taken care of by a different department.
4. Offered to pick up my grab delivery for me on the grab pick up location instead of letting me walk all the way there.
5. Very attentive when it comes to assisting in loading baggage in car.
6. Ran towards my son and i with an umbrella when he noticed it started drizzling.
It was the little things that you don't really expect from that department.
I wish i could say the same thing for the front desk and reservation department. They called and even sent an email for booking confirmation and even asked to do a pre registration where i even noted the preferred floor and bed set up. Of course, when we get there (usually we get there evenings), we find out they didnt really consider the things we requested. I noticed that instead of focusing on guest experience and requests, they focus on payments and room turnover which though is part of their job should not be felt by the guests. This has been the case on all 5 visits.
Overall the element of luxury is there but can sometimes feel inconsistent in terms of service.
Would we stay here again? Yes.
