Forest Lodge has been my favorite go to when in Baguio. This post pandemic visit was just a short one taking my one month old grandson along and getting family together. The staff were never short of pleasant things to do. Bell service Adrian and Rudolf took good care of our stuff. Jasper from IT made sure my daughter's work pc got connected thus enjoying an uninterrupted work from home. To my surprise, nurse Michelle came to check on me because of a terrible muscle pain that caused my bp to rise and went an extra mile in doing more than what was expected from her. She applied other skills to help alleviate the pain. Awesome! Simple things done by Troy and the others like bringing ice and water, extra lamp, chairs and whatnots definitely showed that no matter what time of day or night , you can turn to these guys with your concerns. The room was perfect for my family, and there was even a crib for the baby. Slightly disturbing though was that the main door's lockset was not functioning well, otherwise it was all good. Same reason why we always choose to stay with them.

The room was spacious and with ambient lighting. When we arrived, all the staff were smiling and greeting us even the guards at the valet. I slept well with the windows open since it is already cold in Baguio. Every morning,I was awoken by chirping birds and the fog near the window makes me appreciate Baguio more. I think this place is conducive for resting away from the city where there are loud noise from honking cars and chitchatting people. Try the La Chef Tapa! It's the best tapa we've had;we're from NCR so we miss tapa from the provinces. The heater was perfect as well as the minibar(not overpriced like other hotels). I feel safe jogging around the area.

Room tip: Have your own vehicle as it is inside Camp John Hay. Prepare your covid vaccination cards and valid ID.

Overall we enjoyed our stay
Booking was easy, you can visit their website.
The service people are very friendly and helpful and professional.
The location of the lodge which is inside Camp John Hay is the best choice. So many pine trees and greens surrounding the place. Fresh Air, cool mist on the morning and evening. This is the true Baguio vibe.
Away from the congested side of Baguio city.
Rooms are very spacious.
No aircon though just a ceiling fan but the room remains to stay cool.
Food is not so great, good thing The Manor is besides it and it is just a walk away. Suggest so take your meals there instead.
Best to have your own means of transportation if you want to go out and visit different places outside Camp John Hay.

Room tip: With parking to park your vehicle.

The Forest Lodge has always been our “home away from home”. Service is excellent, the hotel staff are very accomodating and have a ready smile and gesture of salutation. Clean rooms though the bath needs to be refurbished. But overall, the hotel is excellent.
