We found a used water bottle in the room... Was the room even cleaned or inspected by hotel staff before we came? Keys they gave us was not functional and we had to have the security guard let us in our room. Will we back, most likely not.
It cost us 1,689.03 for a night in Baguio Holiday Villa inclusive of taxes and service charge with free breakfast for two people.
The villa is accessible to food franchises and convenience stores. There was a limited parking area so the guard made us park beside the busy street in front of the villa and guaranteed us to look after it.
As you can see on the photos I uploaded I requested one large bed through our booking but as we arrived they gave us a room with two single beds *shaking my head* so they lead us to another room but then our guide hears noises while we were outside so he was hesitant to open it because he is not sure if there are people inside so he made us wait while confirming 🤦♀️ tho he was fast. These are the inconviniences they can prevent if they attend to details. The room has no window.
The guard was okay in attending to our parking concerns. Our breakfast was also okay. The front desk was also fast to attend to our needs. The stay was actually okay except for the concerns i've mentioned.
I wrongly booked on May 10, 2019 this villa through AGODA, May 10-11, 2019 which is supposedly March 11-12, 2019. I tried to select "manage booking" to alter the date minutes after the confirmation of my booking but it can't be changed *thinking there's a consideration because i just booked minutes ago. So I contacted directly the villa of what happened and convinced them to adjust the date but THIS VILLA DENIED MY REQUEST. I was so disappointed! They should have first analyzed what happened. It was an honest mistake! What I did was I emailed the details and concerns of my booking to the customer service of Agoda to help me out. Just a few minutes after my e-mail the Agoda, Minnesota customer service called me to say that my request to move the date was approved. Hands up to the customer service of Agoda! 🙌
Not a bad hotel if you get the right room - when we arrived for our first visit we were initially given a "prison cell" with no windows or natural light. It was very cramped and really not worth the money.
After complaining we were moved to a room with a window but on the main road which was very noisy despite the double-glazed window.
We came back a week later and asked to be upgraded to a better and quieter room - we got upgraded to one of the villas which was quiet and we had a good sleep. Negatives of the villa was it had a TV from the 1980 and there was no shower nozzle so had to wash using the bucket of water and scoop.
Breakfast was OK and the security helped well with our parking. Over all, OK but would like a shower next time and watch out for the "prison cell"!!!
Baguio often becomes too crowded, what with all the visitors trekking up to the city. Baguio Holiday villas offers a simple yet homely place to stay. One has a choice of airconditioned hotel rooms or non-aircon separate villas in the garden. These are good for families. Often, some packages come with a free breakfast. The staff are very friendly and very accomodating. The place is very accessible on Legarda Road, strolling distance from Burnham Park.
The place is startegic if you want to stay in the center, Burnham Park is walking distance roughly 10-15 minutes. There are nearby restaurants and convenience store. Free breakfast was good, basic but that goes with the reasonable price. Staff are friendly and accommodating. The room is small, good only for sleeping, good for people on the go. The bathroom is too small, made me uncomfortable, that's the only thing I didn't like. The rest are good, will definitely go back. Inside is a warm atmosphere as it has a garden, you'll enjoy the view while having breakfast. Staff are also helpful and immediately acts when needs assistance.
