Choose freshly fish and have it grilled in front of you. Bargan the price a bit. Make sure you buy your own drinks before going to the market

Plenty of stalls with many fish all interested in your custom. The actual fish market is by the fishing port with the boats being repaired and fish being gutted and washed ready for sale. the fish stalls are nearby selling fish in the ered fishing huts ready for eating in the small café /restaurants.

You simply can't just work around without being harassed by very pushy men who try to pull you in their stall. If you stop to have a look at the menu, you are suddenly surrounded by 5 men who don't let you enjoy the experience. Each stall has a menu with prices that seem reasonable but the trick is the price for each dish is based on a specific weight (e.g. 250g). The prices on the menu can be ignored. The people there try to give you a "special" price which is usually very very high. You then have to negotiate hard to get it down to a reasonable level.
The food itself is disappointing. The fish is fresh but they just throw the fish on the grill. No dressing, not olive oil, not even salt. Hygiene is poor.
Overall it was a very disappointing experience and I will never go back again.

The daily fish market takes place down in the fishing port. If you're not sure how to find it, follow your nose (or locals with dead fish strung over their bicycle handlebars coming back from the market with their dinner for that evening).
It's a bit of a mess - don't expect a tidy, organised set of stalls set in rows - instead you'll find fishermen selling their catch from an upturned box, sprinkling salt onto ultra-fresh sardines, displaying weird eel-like critters and waving around some scary looking crabs.

It's not a bad place to take a camera - but you'll get in the way if you dither over your shot. Please ask before you take pictures - it's only polite. You wouldn't want people coming to your work place and treating you like an exhibit, would you? There's a couple of barbecue restaurants in the market - sit outdoors as they grill the fish straight off the boats.

We like to walk on through the market and along the sea wall for good views back over the beach.
