Incredible 5* hotel!
I'll start with a brief negative before I forget (they will make you forget because it was that amazing): they knew it was our honeymoon, but didnt put any swans etc on our bed upon arrival. I understand that they serve many customers and it is a commercial hotel as opposed to a villa, but still they could have done something. I requested something to be done for our honeymoon, and guess what? They put flower petals on our bed spelling "happy anniversary" lol! Well, at least they tried.
The staff were genuinely courteous and nice, to the extent that they would even look out if you'd left anything in the taxi!
The views are AMAZING! I had the ocean view premium room and it had the most amazing view in the morning, facing the ocean. I rated the room 8/10. It was really nice, but you could tell that it was aged. My wife is a clean freak and although the bedroom and toilet-shower were really clean, the carpet apparently smelt of piss. There were also stains on the curtains. Apart, from that it was a really nice room.
The infinity swimming pool at the spa and the infinity pool near the beach were absolutely incredible. It looked like I was swimming in the ocean and the pool bar was really good, serving a delicious range of meals and cocktails/mocktails.
The breakfast was the best I've had. I loved that we were greeted at the breakfast reception and taken to our seats, it was a really nice touch to a buffet breakfast. The guy at the breakfast reception (glasses) was really nice throughout our stay, so thank you. Breakfast was great, with a range of international foods. The views were just as great.
They had a buggy to take you everywhere around the hotel resort. E.g. to the spa, to the 24 hour free gym (which was really good, wide range of weights, skipping ropes and weight machines).
We had a romantic dinner at the spa and our butler was super nice. It was so romantic with candle light dinner near the beach, and rose petals staircase. They paid great attention. The food was aesthetically very pleasing (pics came out great) but food was meh (average). However, it was worth every penny.
The spa was great. Not worth the money but still a great experience. Our two masseus were great, and we forgot to tip them but really wanted to. We requested a beach view massage and we were accommodated. Additionally, we changed our dinner time a few times and Hotijah Imran, the manager at the spa was really nice and accommodating. In fact, I found it highly professional that she came to see us and clarify our dinner booking, so thank you Hotijah!
The hotel were really nice, helping to book cabs and giving a price to go with it. One of the staff gave me a great tip, telling me UBER was cheaper than cabs.
The sun loungers near the pool, as well as the panoramic views were images to behold.
Finally, the entertainment at night was great! They had professional singers come down nearly every night and boy were they great at singing. You can literally request any song and they sang it for you. I was shocked when I changed the oldies music to current mainstream music and they sang it amazingly. Infact, I requested my eifes favourite song and they sang it perfectly. Furthermore, we ordered shisha everyday with mocktails and they were really nice.
Summary: If you're visiting Langkawi, come here! Trust me, i've been to a few five stars and this one topped it for me.
