The location of the hotel is fairly central- It is close to the mall, and the main square where the restaurants are. Our group of 12+ stayed here for three nights as part of a relaxing stop on our trip around Japan.
The hotel staff were all very friendly and let us leave our packs behind the front desk while we waited for check-in. They also let us do laundry at the hotel and gave great recommendations for what to do in the local surroundings.
This hotel has its own onsen (one for men and one for women), which are cleaned daily and very nice. The women's onsen two pools - one inside and one outside. The inside pool has windows with a view of the city, is large and very clean. The outside pool is smaller ( fits maybe 7 women comfortably), but has a lovely view of the city below. The shampoo, conditioner and lotion provided are very nice.
We stayed in a traditional tatami room with six people and it was large enough to accomadate us all without feeling overcrowded. The hotel staff prepared the room for sleeping every night and cleaned up the futons every morning without feeling intrusive.
Our stay came with a free breakfast. It was okay. Most of the food was American style, with eggs, sausage, bread, etc. Not great, but decent.More
