Located about 30min streetcar ride away from Hakodate station. I really liked this place, even the typhoon didn't matter while I was in here. Room was big and clean and seemed quite new. Staff members were once again very friendly and polite.
Onsen was also great. There were couple different kinds of baths, some of them located outside and some inside. And there was only a glass wall between the sections and they opened and closed it depending on the weather. And everytime I went to take a bath, there was only a couple of people there and once I was the only person there.
Dinner and breakfast buffets were also great. Huge variety of foods were available and lots of them were seafood of course.
Price for one night was actually quite cheap considering it included dinner and breakfast. If I'm ever back in Hakodate I will stay in this hotel again.

We stayed at this hotel from 21 Aug 2018. The experience was fantastic. The room is nice, comfortable and clean with a traditional Japanese layout.

The food is really something to look forward to when staying there as the buffet has a wide variety of Japanese dishes and the taste is great. The children also like the place and food very much. On the onsen, the place is clean and nicely kept.

The staff are friendly and attentive, but one should note that they will not allow early check-in even though we were around 2hrs early. You will have to explore the area while waiting to check-in and if you drive there are more things to explore further from the hotel as it is located near to many places of interest. It will also be helpful if they can serve breakfast until 10am instead of 9am.

This should be one of the best hotel to stay while in Hakodate.

The room is big and clean. Room sound proof is very good. Nothing much around the surrounding of this hotel. There's hot spring in this hotel but didn't try. The best of all is the fabulous buffet breakfast.

The hotel is located in a residential area. It offers an indoor hot spring. Room was decorated in traditional Japanese style. Buffet breakfast offers plenty of choices. However, if you arrive a bit early, like 1:30 pm, They won't let you check-in even though the hotel and parking lot were pretty much empty. I can never understand that. It is not like allowing us to go to our room would cost them anything. The staff said they had to charge us if we wanted to go to our room prior to 3 pm. My question then would be if guests leave prior to the check- out time, is he/she going get a partial refund?

This hotel's onsen (spa) was one of the highlights of my trip to Hakodate! Accessible from the city center via a longish ride (30 minutes?) on the famous streetcar, then a short walk. It's open to non-staying guests from 12:00-20:00 for 1230 yen (towel and locker included). Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel has apparently been refurbished, and it shows; the facilities are spotless and really top-notch. I went at 15:00 on a weekday in mid-May and had nearly the entire place to myself. Spacious changing area, plentiful showers (featuring a "shampoo bar" from which you can choose your preferred brand of shampoo and body soap), and lovely baths. The "rotemburo" outdoor tub has a slotted ceiling to protect it from the elements, plus several "tsubo" tubs that make you feel like you're sitting in a teacup! Indoors, there is an enormous main bath and smaller tub with milky, alkaline water that is meant to be great for your skin. There are also two saunas ("dry" and "aromatherapy") and a cold-water tub for those brave enough! After your bath, you can relax on the sofas and cushions in a huge lounge area featuring complimentary water and iced tea (not to mention vending machines with Sapporo beer!) There is also a massage area, which was closed when I visited. All in all a wonderful experience. I would certainly recommend it to friends and would even consider staying at this hotel on my next visit to Hakodate! NOTE: This review only covers half of the spa's facilities, as men's and women's bathing areas alternate depending on the time of day.
