Owner description: Four routes, each divided into ten sections by stopping and refueling stations, lead up to Mt. Fuji's snow-covered tip. You don't have to be a die-hard mountaineer to climb Mt. Fuji; the slopes are full of children and adults of all ages, shapes, and sizes. The official climbing season only runs from the beginning of July to the end of August, but you can take the train from Toyko to the fifth station any season.

This is a VERY weather dependent tour. Going up to the 5th station on Mt Fuji one is supposed to see the spectacular Japan Alps. However all we saw was mist as it was a misty day. Mt Fuji could be seen but under a misty veil too. When we got to the ropeway, the spectacular views were covered by clouds. So no Lake Ashi, no fantastic view, no Mt Fuji. The only thing we really experienced was the 15 min Lake Ashi cruise as everything else was fogged out. Our tour guide was full of energy though and kept us all happy. So, it many ways, it felt like long hours on the coach for little reward. Anyway. it was a day out and things never turn out the way you hope.

We stayed in Tokyo so the visit to Mt.Fuji took quite a while. We used the bullet train and then the lovely little train that takes you to Mt. Fuji. We then took a bus tour which got us to the fourth platform on. It really is a stunning sight and I would do it all over again if I got the chance.

It truly is an impressive site.

Impressive from a distance to get some scale and impressive up close.

We saw it in all its sunny glory from a distance and it clouded up a little on the mountain (4th station). But the views across the valley to lots of other snow capped mountains was most impressive.

A bit of traffic, but worth the effort.

Mount Fuji is breath-takingly magnificent and majestic. A must see if you're in Japan. So many things to do around that area too!

One of the reasons why we visited Japan is to see Mt Fuji it did not disappoint we were lucky with the weather sunny and clear blue sky we went to 4th station the drive was long but the glimpses of Mt Fuji was worth it... i sat on the left handside of the bus so i got to take pictures... but we had a comfort rest on 2nd station i advise that you should go to the 2nd floor to take pictures and glimpses of mt fuji ...breathtaking...
