We have just spent a lovely relaxing week here. It has been wonderful. We were collected from DaNang airport and met to walk the last few minutes to our hotel right in the old town. Bags transported by bicycle immediately felt we were to have a special time. Our room was big, lovely wooden bath, stain glass windows shutters view overlooking the street. Good bed and clean fresh linen and towels. It is old and lovely, creaky and beautiful. It can be noisy but you soon embrace the theatre of daily bikes, street vendors, visitors many stopping to photograph the hotel. Thinh is a great host. Very responsive and entertaining we joined the staff on the second night for their evening meal and drank rice wine. A great breakfast each morning watching the township waking up from our window seats. All of our bicycle hire, tours easily arranged by our hosts. Restaurants cafes and the famous tailors within walking distance. We feel well rested and taken care of. We are very happy we chose the hotel

If you are visiting Central Vietnam, you should spend a night in Hoian. Hoian's evening is must see. And staying in this hotel will help you experience the most out of this charming town because it is basically part of the old town and located only 100m away from all the must- experience.

The room is special - the architecture makes you feel like going back to 200 years ago but the facilities is modern. Make sure you book in advance everything in the room package especially the sunset boat tour. Value for money option in Hoian and will definitely recommend to friends visiting Hoian in the future.

One piece of additional info: the hotel is located next to a pokéstop so you can literally catch pokéman on your bed.

We chose this hotel because we were looking for a place with charm. This hotel has buckets of it and offers a great range of complimentary services - including the option to dine with the hotel staff, use of the swimming pool at the Vinh Hung resort, a boat trip, and more. We greatly enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was wonderful and the hotel staff were incredibly kind and helpful.

Room Tip: Choose an upstairs room with a view of the street

If you want something a bit different from the standard hotel, this is well worth it. We enjoyed our stay but there are a few points to note as we reckon would this place might not be for everyone.
The charm and visual appeal of the hotel can be summed up by the number of passers by who stop to take a picture - it's a lovely place, feeling like a step back in time. We enjoyed the balcony, a nice spot to watch the world go by without being right in it.
The service is excellent and friendly, they're clearly keen to help. The breakfast is simple but enjoyable. The room (208 Michael Caine room) is a good size and comfortable. The old wooden charm goes right through the building, but this does mean you'll get creeky floors and not the best sound proofing. We put that down as character. The bathroom is fine, though the shower is a little unconventional - you get into the tub and sit down.

The key things to note: if you want a long lie in in the morning, this may not be the place for you. The sound of life on the streets starts pretty early. We generally enjoyed it as we'd head out about 7 before things got busy or too hot, then come back for breakfast.

When we were in Hoi An in June it was seriously hot (a lot hotter than back home in singapore) and we found it took a long while to cool the room down.
For those that don't walk much, you can't get a taxi right to the door, but the hotel staff will come and meet you a few blocks away and help with the luggage. The upside of all this is there are pretty much only bikes along the road the hotel is on.
The hotel offers free evening local food in the hotel, and you can walk up to the sister hotel to use their pool for free. We did that one day, it's no more than a 10 min walk.
The wifi was fine, we didn't have any issues.

The hotel location is fantastic and Hoi An is charming. If you can, try and be there for the lunar festival (once a month I believe), the river comes alive after dark with boats and floating candles.
There are amazing restaurants everywhere, but in some you do pay for it, some are not cheap. We enjoyed every meal we had and my wife enjoyed the evening cooking class at the red bridge cooking school a few doors along the road (there is an out of town red bridge too). Opposite the hotel there is a chilled out roof terrace bar, we really liked it up there. There's enough liveliness around town if you want a late night, but you will need to knock on the hotel door for them to open it if you're getting back after 11pm.

This hotel has charm in an old world way, the staff are very friendly and helpful, you can dine with them for an evening meal, we had vegetarian and shared with another family, very nice.
The hotel offers breakfast, a free massage, Vietnamese lessons, herbal medicine, a boat ride and swimming and street market are at another riverside hotel and it is a way to walk there especially in the heat.
The rooms vary in style, mine was dark inside, no natural light or window to open, large with high ceilings, big bathroom which has only a bath which makes hair washing difficult and a separate dressing area. Decor is lovely. This room is situated on the ground floor at the back away from the street which can be very noisy until late at night. A one or two night stay at the most.
