This is not an expensive resort but that's no excuse for poor service and fittings. The light directly above the pillows on our bed flickered all night, making it impossible to sleep. Two other lights in the room also had the same problem, so there must be an electrical problem. This was reported to Management but nothing was done to fix it. The room also had the smell of urine or similar which we also reported, to no avail - maybe it's just the smell of the complex??? As stated in other reviews, the service in the hotel bar is woeful, two staff (women) chatted for at least 30 minutes and never came near us, a group of 8, so quite hard to miss us. The complex looks like it was built on a shoe-string, the tiling around the complex is chipped, mortar is missing etc, the end of our bath in a very nice marble bathroom has been left un-tiled and unplastered. Where paintwork meets tiles the finish is awful. That said the location on the beach is lovely, although it's at least a 45 minute drive from Danang Airport, past lots of very upmarket looking sea-side hotels. The distance into Hoi An is about a 10 minute ride by shuttle bus or taxi. Food in the main restaurant at night was good as was the service at the beach bar. Prices were very reasonable, US$6 for cocktails and US$12 for Asian plates such as curry, noodles and Vietnamese dishes.
Small things like no full length mirror in the room and paper napkins at breakfast also irked.

Room Tip: Avoid room 14-18 on each level eg 114, 214, 316, 418, as they look out over a vacant lot and telecom tower.

We stayed here for a little over a week during our trip to Vietnam. The resort provides a nice pool as well as easy access to the beach, and provides a shuttle bus to Hoi An proper (with a suitably frequent timetable). The resort has several nice bars and a restaurant, as well as many dining options just outside it. All in all, the location is quite nice.

Our room was located in the main building and featured a spacious balcony that was perfect for relaxing. Unfortunately, at least our room seemed to gather moisture at times and also an unpleasant smell was present near the AC, but wasn't bad enough for us to want to change rooms. Something to pay attention to when you check in, nevertheless.

If for whatever reason you have trouble using stairs, moving around in the main building can be a bit tricky but manageable. Breakfast buffet was nice, though not much variance. Service was impeccable at all times. Overall a nice place to relax and launch day trips to Hoi An, Da Nang, My Son etc. from.

This resort is set in beautiful large grounds. We stayed in a premier room which opened directly onto the gardens. A magnificent breakfast buffet is included. The pool is large with a bar and snack facilities. Down at the beach there is a beach house and bar. The staff were always very helpful. If you don't want to eat in the resort there are 4 restaurants just outside the resort about 2 minutes walk and very reasonably priced. The only negative is that they try and grab you and drag you inside to their restaurant. There is also a little corner store that sells super cheap beer and soft drink and also can do your laundry for around $2.00 a bag. This resort is really very beautiful however the only negative thing is that the bathroom/toilet in the room is separated by swinging doors that are open at the top and the bottom so that every smell/noise can be heard quite clearly in the bedroom!!!!

We only had two nights here and wished we had stayed two more. Check in was a breeze. Rooms are very comfy. Pool is more for looks than swimming but there is the ocean. We never had the time (or weather) to enjoy it but looked like it would have been great if the weather was better. Food downstairs for breakfast was terrific. Wish the same could have been said for the bar staff in the lounge upstairs. We had to approach them several times to get service and the expression on their face was clearly indicative that they were not enjoying either tourists or their jobs.....or both. We were fully prepared to spend the evening imbibing and visiting despite the grossly inflated drink prices but soon changed our mind due to lack of any kind of service. We thought it might have just been us but another set of senior travellers actually expressed the same sentiment. The rest of the staff seemed very attentive. Fire the two lazy goofs (guy and girl) behind the bar and I would have given 5 stars.

The macro location of the hotel is very good - away from the town, but easily reachable by taxi or complimentary shuttle, next to a private beach.
Your micro location depends on the budget and luck. We had de luxe rooms, but the whole building was facing a dull yard and a very nearby cell phone base station tower.
The rooms were a bit worn down, especially the bathrooms.
The beach is OK, but don’t expect to swim (waves). The pool is large, but very shallow.
Breakfast was good, especially the local dishes (pho and cao lau).
From what we have seen, this hotel might still be the best option for a stay in Hoi An.
