This is a "resort" like the ones built in the 1990's on the east coast of Australia that are now called resort motels but updated around 8 years ago. But that's not a bad thing because that is the price we paid for. The real resorts in Phuket are 2-3 times the price. Room was spacious, our bed was comfy, air con great but WiFi hopeless in the rooms. We would usually catch up on the WiFi needed items at breakfast or by the pool.
If stairs are a problem then ask for a room accessed via the lift on the 2nd floor or above. However you will still have around 6 stairs to get to the pool area. We had a nice view over Patong and the bay from our balcony(6th floor).
Staff were lovely and their limited English were similar to other places we stayed in Thailand, if they didn't understand they would find another staff member to help. The cleaners have very little english so if you need something talk to the front desk. We got extra pillows and sheet as I like to have something over me when I sleep but not the dooner. Tom and Pong helped a lot. Pong even arranged some music for happy hour at the pool.
We knew about the hill and that's part of the reason we booked here, close enough to the bustle of Patong but no noise and good price. Shuttle is available till 10pm at night to the main mall, a 10min walk via Bangla Road will get you to the beach. If you want to party all night then be ready to pay 300 baht to get a home to avoid the hill, its only 100 baht more than to get to the other resorts however those resorts charge for their shuttle.
The booking team deals best via emails and we received a follow up email a few days before to confirm our flight times for airport pick up and they provided a mobile for the driver in case of any problems due to the chaos of the airport. We contacted them by direct email to book, and everything went smoothly.
If you are there on the weekend book the phuket tour that includes visiting the weekend markets, it's the easiest way to have a look around and see tourist sites and enjoy the best market shopping in all of phuket.
You will see Chinese tourists occasionally as they arrive and depart, generally in the lobby for around 10mins while they check in and out, and at breakfast between 7-8ish. So we usually had breakfast after 8.30am. Hardly saw them any other time.
Agreed they do need to turn the air-conditioning for breakfast and dinner, we usually grabbed a seat in front of the fans, but hey - you don't go to Thailand and expect to be cool. Breakfast was standard for Thailand catering to all nationalities so it's a bit of everything. You can order freshly cooked pancakes, french toast and eggs any way you want them.
We had dinner two nights there and the food was good value, the entree platter was a great starter. Worked out to an average of $10AUD a dish. Felt like we had the place to ourselves as most people go into Patong to eat and shop and the Chinese like to eat in their rooms. Their cocktail of the week was Midori Splice for equivalent of $4.50 AUS - yummy!. Also I had a good Thai massage there, remember when getting massages in Thailand you need to keep them informed if an area is sore eg say softer there please, they will adjust accordingly. I know you can get cheaper massages on the street in town but I was relaxing that day and it is still half the price of a massage in Australia.
Overall a great place to stay if you want value for money and have good access to Patong. Remember you will need mozzie repellent in phuket whichever resort you are in.

Our wedding anniversary 10 days away. Always tired the first day, the swimming pool, pool bar, having a chat with other guests was fun.
Breakfast waa terrific, good service and delicious omlettes.
When staff found out its a specizl date, the staff decorated our room , it was lovely.
Needed a couple more pillows and towels.
The bathroom needs a really good clea, the slats in the doors, tust around the shower screen, broken wall tiles. The room was rather large, with a w seater lounge but a table would be useful. Good aircon, but mine and 2 other guests commented on the piol of water on the floor everyday after lunch.
We got a bucket eventually. Room service was really quick and yummy.
If management could just spend some to clean up the bathroom, moderise them.
Fromt desk staff were very helpful.Drivers to JungCeylon were very careful and prompt.

Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here,.

Room Tip: Contrast to the chaos.

Our rooms where very nice ,spotlessly clean, tidy bathroom and comfy beds.
The staff couldn't do enough for us ..swim up Bar , restaurant, front desk, massage, housekeeping, breaky crew always had a smile and friendly chat.
The breaky was awesome (lots to choose from) lunch/bar snacks were great and dinner at the restaurant was also awesome.
The resort is only a short walk to shopping district but such a peaceful and quite location.
There is a hill to get up to the resort which I didn't mind. (walk off some of the great food) If your not a fan of the hill there are a million tuk tuks that will run you around and up the hill for a couple of bucks !
I would defiantly recommend Bann Yuree resort and would certainly stay here on future visits .... Thank You Bann Yuree !!!!!!

Room Tip: Pool side rooms are awesome

Absolutely loved this accommodation.
Stung by travelot but we sorted ourselves and found this resort a beautiful place. Staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely pool with swim up bar. Comfortable and close to beach and shopping. Quiet and peaceful in such a busy city. Would definitely go back again.
