For 50 baht (about $2) it’s cheap - but prepare yourself for a “museum” which looks like the attic space of someone with a compulsive hoarding problem and no concept of dusting.

The artefacts are questionable - many mislabelled and a complete hodgepodge of items from unrelated periods of history. A Boer War photo sits alongside a WWII POW photo.

Some items are genuinely interesting - but they’d be far more powerful in the hands of a properly curated museum.

Very quirky and interesting museum with stacks and stacks of exhibits but looks in dire need of some investment. There isn't much in the way of English information to explain a lot of the exhibits and many look like they haven't been maintained for over 20 years. However for only 50 baht I would say it's definitely worth a visit. Great views of the river kwai railway bridge too.

It’s such a shame that this museum is so run down and requires major investment to highlight the plight of all the prisoners of war who were forced to build the railway to Burma. We were taken around by our tour guide who explained how life was in the camps. There are photo (some in frames, others falling out of frames) showing how awful life was for the prisoners. There were some strange drawings too. We were told not to take photos, I’m sure this was not because the photos/pictures could be damaged but so we don’t show anyone how in need of finance this museum is. If it wasn’t on the tour, I would have been disappointed to pay an entrance fee.

Having already been to hellfire visitor centre centre which was amazing, this one was more ‘ artefacts’ from that era and an old or remodelled aircraft and chopper . It’s a bit rough and ready but it passes the time and you get a nice view of the bridge over river Kwai there
Cheap entry and passes around 30/45 mins easily

More like someone's collection of random items. Guns, gemstones/geodes, motorcycles, murals of Thai prime minister's and miss Thailand's from 1930's - 1990s, clocks, t-shirts, random markets stalls selling items.
This is a really confused, disorganised and chaotic 'museum' in quite serious disrepair. I don't understand what they do with the money they charge for entry, but it certainly isn't for maintenance or upkeep.
Information is really sparse, and when you find it it's vague.
That said, if you're bored with nothing to do it's a way to waste some time.
