Spent 8 days with wife, parents and 22month old daughter. Had an amazing time and the hotel staff (particularly Mam) couldn’t do enough for us, especially my daughter.
Great pool and beach location. Sea isn’t crystal clear but very clean beach and plenty for our daughter to run around on

Many thanks

First time to Hua Hin and excited to be upgraded to an Executive Ocean King Suite on the 15th floor with an insanely huge terrace overlooking the sea.
It's my birthday weekend (the celebrations continue) and the hotel has placed a birthday cake, hand written card, and fruit bowl in the living room. A wonderful touch.
The suite is around 80sqm and is on a renovated floor (the hotel is in need of some TLC) and has a panorama view of the city and ocean.
We arrive late but are able to enjoy a quick martini in the lounge (complimentary for Hhonors Diamond members) before heading out to the local markets for dinner.
The next morning we enjoy complimentary breakfast in the Market restaurant on the ground floor after a light workout in the well equipped gym.
Overall a great stay and will be back.

The rooms standards are at its best stretched into the 90:ies. The staff are, as most of Thailand, absolutly wonderful and the breakfast is more than enough but thats about where the positive experiences stop.

Food
The skybar is expensive and serve the worst Margueritas and Mimosas we ever experienced! Jose cuervo with lemonade is not Marguerita and alcohol with vitamine-fizz has never been a good idea. We also tried to order some fresh fruit at the pool/beach area for us and our infant boy since outside beverage/food is forbidden. That was totaly impossible as the menu is set to a very depressing laminated list, and it lead to me tipping of some very nice intern at the kitchen staff just to get a banana as snack for my 7:month old kid. Vacay for me is a bit buzzed, snacks and food with nice services all around, and I feelt it wasn’t delivered according to my expectations of the Hilton standard.

The building
The floors are cracked, people got stuck in the elevators more than one time during our visit (roumors from other guests, not verified) The tiles in the showers in our room are misscoloured/moldy and the beds are as soft as the moldy bathroom floor. The tv is small, there are very few electrical sockets in our room. Lets not even get started at the wi-fi, the speed indicates that somewhere the sound of a dial up from a 56k modem dial-up is eccoing in the hallways...

All of the above is ok at a regular hotell in Thailand, at regular resonable prices. My expectations where high, almost as high as the bill but im very dissapointed.

Dear Eric M

Thank you for your review and for recognising the outstanding efforts to deliver exemplary service from our hardworking team. Our new Executive Chef will be joining us in the next couple of weeks and all of our menus will be reviewed with the aim to enhance the variety and quality. As far as I am aware, there have been no guests entrapped in our lifts and believe, that as you mentioned it is an unsubstantiated rumour.

All of our TV's are 42" and while our building is older, there is no excuse for lack of cleanliness and condition. Having recently joined the hotel, I can report that we have implemented a new preventative maintenance program and our Classic non renovated rooms are being rejuvenated with positive feedback.

I am sorry that you were disappointed with your stay and that we did not have an opportunity to make it right for you during your stay, which we would have strived to do had we known about your issues. Your opinions are valued and I thank you for sharing them. We do hope to see you in the future so that we can create a more positive impression.

Kind Regards
Carey Osborne

Having read all the reviews before booking I was not disappointed .

It is an old 1980’s hotel , being refurbished - slowly !!! So if you want a smart modern room pay the little bit extra for the renovated ones as it is worth it . The decor they haven’t got right yet - very bland ,but am told it is not quite finished with floor rugs yet to be added .

The club Lounge is the strangest thing . Located in the main lobby area is the evening section with drinks and canapés severed ( limited selection of food and wine from a carafe - odd ) , upstairs on the mezzanine level is the all day and breakfast area . I am told they will combine the two again at some point .

The club lounge used to be on the roof , where most are , this is now the sky bar area - which I might add is horrible . Expensive and very rough , not good at all . You would think they would have made this a priority area !!

The pool area is the seller !! Huge and nice with a great garden area and lots of lounges . It backs onto the beach but honestly why would you bother .

The location is perfect , right in the middle of things and only a very short walk to restaurants / night markets if you want a night time stroll .

We went across from Pattaya by ferry which was nice ( 2 hours ) and easy it costs about bht250 from the pier to the hotel , which is approx a 15 min drive .

Dear J1353OVianb
Thank you for your review. We are very happy to learn that you had a great time with us recently and note where we can improve. Our pool area is certainly one of the main attractions at our property with plenty of space for everyone and five steps down to the beach.

Once again, thank you and we hope to see you again.

Kind Regards

The central location of the Hilton was the reason to make our booking. However the hotels facilities are rundown and in much need of refurbishment. Some rooms have been refurbished however, the Market which is the main all day restuarant is in very poor condition, and is used for serving an average breakfast and evening meals. The executive lounge is also used for breakfast, however the selection is very limited and the lounge itself has no executive features other than a single PC for use by guests. The rooftop bar & restuarant is similar in much need of refurbishment. When compared to other major brand hotels in Hua Hin, I would say the only reason to book this hotel, is its central location.
The staff are helpful and provide excellent service to the best of their ability and always with a smile, which common to the Thai culture. Time to put a smile back on the hotel and the common service areas.

Dear OilandGad_13

Thank you for your comments. We appreciate you recognising the excellent service from the team. We are finalising our refurbishment plans for this coming year as we speak and hope to rejuvenate some of the public area spaces at the resort. Our Executive Lounge does not offer the extensive buffet as available at The Market and all of our Executive Lounge guests are given the option of where to have their breakfast. Our Lounge does offer all day tea, coffee, cold drinks and cookies along with afternoon tea. As you are aware, the evening drinks reception is held downstairs in a different venue. We hope that you choose to stay with us again so that you can see the improvements we plan to make.

With thanks
Carey Osborne
