From the moment we were picked up at the airport by the hotel’s driver, whose name we regrettably did not get, we knew we had made the right decision, and when we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted with warmth by David, Furaha and Fanwell and made to feel at home right away. Rooms, while modest, were well equipped with just what we needed; coffee, tea, toiletries, mosquito nets, hot water, and the on-site restaurant quickly became our go-to spot. Everything was made to order so please don’t go here thinking you can get your meal in ten minutes. Love takes time! We felt welcomed by every single staff member and appreciated all of their attention to detail in making our stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel is tucked away on a bumpy (don’t worry) dirt road just outside of town, but that’s something we loved about it. We didn’t plan to spend as much time as we did in Arusha, but after such a great experience at Mvuli, it just kind of happened.
On a more personal note, Fanwell was someone we can’t speak highly enough of! Our first day meeting him, he asked if we would join him at the museum and market, which was definitely a highlight of our trip. We know we made a friend for life and are grateful for his genuine interest in showing us his city. More
