Stayed for a night with our two young kids and loved it here. The staff were so friendly and helpful - making a genuine effort to engage with our 1 year old who loved the attention. The food in the restaurant was really good and the views out are incredible - watching the cricket on the grass below while drinking a Lion beer - perfect. One thing I would say is that the rooms could do with a bit of a refit - some of the fittings are a bit dated and wires hanging out etc. However, that really doesn't detract much from the overall package. Thanks so much for looking after us guys!

Tempted by the rooftop dining area we chose to eat dinner at this guesthouse (also a small restaurant).
We got off to a great start when my spicy ginger soda was presented to me. If you like ginger - this is for you! A “special” recipe apparently. With a whole chilli, cardamom pods and plenty of ice and ginger of course. So delicious I had two.
The food was very special too - devilled prawns - very tasty. My wife had the Sri Lankan curry. With 5 or 6 different dishes. We’ve had a few of these on our travels but this was the best so far.
Very hospitable staff and a very reasonable price. Good music thrown in too.

Highly recommended. It looks like a lovely place to stay too if you’re looking for accommodation.

Tempted to go back for breakfast and another spicy ginger soda!

Came to the Dew for lunch whilst staying at the Fort (was not staying here - only came for lunch).
Ordered a grilled chicken and salad - and had a beer to wash it down with. The beer was served brilliantly chilled and the glass was clean and cold ! The chicken was awesome -and the salad was divine ! A super super meal.
The place is awesome. The vantage view gives clear view of the ramparts and the sea - one of the very few places that honestly gives a clear view...
The only downer was the time taken. It took nearly 30 minutes for the chicken to arrive - thankfully had a book to hand otherwise would have been a bit frustrating as i wanted a quick lunch and wanted to get back to work !

The BEST Sri Lankan curry we had!
This place is super cool - hammocks, a library, great view of the sunset over Galle Forte, and if you visit on the weekend you can watch the locals playing cricket! Plus friendly staff of course!

This place is hit and miss. It's pricy for what it is but in a great location. The service is friendly and laid back and the restaurant area upstairs has decent food with nice views. The only real problem is the noise. The walls are this and you can hear every last sound in the place. The road outside can get a bit noisy too.
