It was a lovely trip in Hallim Park, it has many beautiful views to take photos of.
It’s so big we spent 4 hours to finish it, and after that we went to Hyeopjae beach which is 5 minutes away from there. However, I was disappointed because of there was one restaurant and it only serves Korean food.

Its a beautiful and quiet park to visit. Enjoyed the bonsai area and birds area alot with my 5 year old daughter. There are bonsais as old as 300 yrs old! Signages are clear to indicate the different areas in the park.
There is a restaurant within the park itself at the folk village, serves korean food and also small food outlets selling convenient food, ice cream, drinks and beer. There is also a herb cafe in the park, selling herbal teas.
A place that is away from crowds to spend an afternoon leisurely with your kids.

Except for the tulips which do not bloom in Singapore and the caves which are special to Jeju, this park is not impressive. It does not have good landscaping on a whole. I understand that tried to grow flowers of all seasons so there are naturally trees and shrubs not in bloom. But still the landscaping could be improved so we don’t have to walk for such long periods with nothing much to see. I liked the statues and water feature, the tulips area which was very beautiful, the part of the park where some peacocks could roam around. However the enclosures could be done better for more visibility of the animals. I read some reviews that they were ill treated but I didn’t see any evidence of this. We have very good displays of succulents at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore and Yeomiji Botanical Gardens was also more impressive than Hallim park. For April, I would recommend to skip Hallim park and go for Yeomiji instead for a better visit in general unless you really like tulips. Have to admit the tulips display was very beautiful.

It’s about an hour’s drive from the airport. Entrance is KRW11,000 for one adult. The tulips and cherry blossoms were in full bloom. So lovely! A surprise was the caves. It’s so cool! Really worth the visit.
