I have no idea why people recommended this beach so highly other than it was a bit secluded and there was good snorkeling.
Definitely my least favorite beach so far on Mahe.
It was a long walk down to the beach (and worse back up) and definitely not as breath-taking as Petite Anise!
There was a cute restaurant there but the prices are very high for what was offered.
Pack your own lunch and snacks instead.
There is a snorkeling area to the left side of the beach.
This beach was covered in seaweed after about 11am. I got there early around 10 for a prime location in the shade and away from the long reach of the waves.
There isn't a lot of area in the shade and out of wave reach, so you end up being crammed together.
Also, this beach had the biggest waves abs the strongest tide. I thought I wouldn't be able to get up at one point. Be careful.
The waves do reach up the beach so children could play in that area, but definitely not a beach like Beau Vallon
The water was full of seaweed too.
Overall, it was still a nice day and is a nice beach, normally I'd be happy, but Seychelles has too many other nicer beaches than to waste your time here.
Also, there were lots of dogs running around the beach looking for food.
Overall, 3/5 stars.
Come for the snorkeling and leave...
Don't come for the restaurant either.
Overall, I'd say skip it if you're short of time. Maybe if you have a car and you want to go snorkeling. This is an average beach in Seychelles.
*note that pictures were taken at 10am, before the seaweed washed in.
