This place is 5 minutes drive from the Barelang bridge and the drive there takes you through some steep slopes.

Upon arrival you head straight to the kelong where the seafood are kept. Look out for one 70kg fish in one of those enclosure. For grouper that weighs 900g it cost us 288k, prawns 400g cost is 88k and calamari about 60k. For the fish we had it steamed and I just say it's pretty good especially when it is jumpy fresh. Prawns are small so you ended up eating the head and tails lock stock barrel as it is really not worth the effort pealing it. We have it butter style. Calamari is just blend.

The place overlooks the other parts of batam island and you see fishing boats and also sampans ferrying school children. Nice quaint location where you should find a good spot and chill out. Food wise I give it a three stars but setting is great.

Came here to try an out of the way Kelong, we were pleasantly surprised! (Scores below are compared to other Kelongs)

Ambience: 4.5/5
Cleanliness: 3.5/5
Customer Service: 4/5
Quality of Food: 5/5
Value for Money: 5/5

Our Orders:
La La: 5/5
Gong Gong: 5/5
Kampong Fried Rice: 4/5
Fried Squid: 4/5
Butter Fried Squid: 5/5
Salted Egg Prawns: 4/5
Salted Egg Crab: 4/5
Red Chili Crab: 4/5
Steam Sea Grouper: 4/5
Samba Kang Kong: 5/5
Baby Kalan with Mushroom: 5/5

The Good: Value for Money, great quality, great ambience, worth the effort to travel all the way here from downtown Batam.

The Bad: Timing wise it's 50 mins from Nagoya Hill, might be a bit dirty for the folks who prefer cleaner ambience.

The Bottom Line: You should come, it's worth it IMO, food's really authentic, come before it's not commercialised into something else!

I and my foreigner friend (2 persons) ate a plate of vegetable and a steam fish, drink a glass of young coconut and a bottle of freshtea.
The food is okay and it costs us IDR300,000. I think they charge different price for locals and foreigners. Would not recommend it and probably would never come back again.

This place is right over the water with views of Kampongs and islands.
The building is spectacular.
And the food is to die for.
Well worth the trip here.
