Stayed gere a few times and it is obvious this time round that the hotel is in need of maintenance. Checkin was quite prompt but I was not told that we were given a room upgrade due to the original room booked being full (how can that be when we booked in advance?).
Was disappointed with the upgrade as the room is smaller (how is that even considered an upgrade?) and we were told we could not revert to our original room booking.
The furniture was not in good condition but bed was comfortable. Its saving grace was the bathtub.
The hotel is about 20mins from Batam centre ferry terminal and it has an outdoor food court, spas and a shopping centre within walking distance so its location is convenient.
The buffet quality has dropped and its pool cleanliness especially the jacuzzi (which didn't work and looks dirtier than the pool water) needs to be better maintained.
Overall, the stay could be more pleasant.
