Well, reading some of the reviews here, I get the feeling people sometimes miss the point. This is basic cafe style dining, not local style exactly, but not far from it. The food is not steaming hot, but warm. The "special" which we always order, like many people has the same thing in it every time I go to Ubud. Roast suckling pork slices, which are always tender, tasty and moist; blood sausage, which I don't usually eat, fried pork, a crunchy deep fried dish with delicious spices in the coating, our favourite bit; perfect steamed white rice; vegetable lawar, a ceremonial dish of chopped veggies with shredded coconut and spices. And yes, it's served efficiently (service is usually pretty slow in Bali, so it feels like lightning). Tourist trap or not, even with prices this year up to 55,000IDR for the special, I reckon my $AUD5.50 is far better spent here than at that well known "Scottish burger restaurant".
