We visited beach grill last night and were picked up by the restaurant. Driver was very friendly on taking us there...but story changed on return...tbc..
We got to restaurant and nowhere were the views stated in their website, see pic attached. The outside seating area smelt of urine, the staff were rude, impatient and had bad attitudes.

I asked where the toilet was to the waiter and he rudely said “in the corner”..which corner I asked, he told me to shush and he’ll tell me..!!

The food whilst seemingly interesting was a huge disappointment.
I ordered coconut chilli chicken for starter and fish Jimbaran style.
My partner ordered Quesdillas for starters and prawn with chips for mains.
The coconut chicken was awful, soggy sauce with 4 pieces of chicken.
The fish mains wasn’t cooked in a bbq but seemed to be fried, not much flavour.
The quesadillas were the best thing in our order.
The prawns were over cooked, but a generous portion. Chips were cooked from frozen, not very nice.
We also ordered a bottle of Hatten white wine.
The worst part was considering all we ordered - bar prawns- was under 100k the bill came to nearly 1 million!! 980k...
Upon questioning the bill, including tax and service charge the owners husband asked my partner what was wrong she said it seemed really expensive for the poor quality of food and service we’d received.
He offered her one drink for free even though there was two of us...
He said he’d like good reviews online!
No offer of discount on poor meal, just one free glass of wine.

My advice is keep away from Nusa Dua Beach Grill. The location is far out, views awful, staff rude, food really poor and to top it off the driver dropping us back had completely changed his attitude upon return. Not a word was exchanged on return.

In all honesty most of the restaurants we tried in Bali are overpriced rubbish. Drinks hideously expensive, poor cocktails. Only decent restaurant in south we found is Bumbu Bali in Tanjung Benoa near NUsa dua. Excellent food, excellent cocktails, reasonably priced.

They offer a nice pick up service because it’s out in the back roads but then you are trapped to endure terrible service and terrible food. Chips you should not be able to get too far wrong but they were (frozen, not a problem if cooked well?), but tasted stale liked they had been hanging around for a while or reheated old potato.

Nice views other posts have stated......of built up structures from the 900 room hotel next door. I don’t share others opinion that this is ‘nice’!

Don’t waste your valuable time or money on this place - holidays are precious and you make the most of it by going somewhere else. Bumbu Bali will give you a bill of similar size but quality is excellent in comparison with great ambiance and service - suggest owners of this place go and check out some good venues to understand hospitality

To begin with the online service with chat box is so convenient to book a table and the free shuttle. Beautiful indoor and outdoor with view on the beach. Finally not a 20 pages menu with photos of Indian Thai Italian American food, which is generally suspicious for just one place. Contrary to some comments pizza are NOT frozen and you could see the chef preparing them on the spot in the kitchen. I had scallop and then tuna with coconut milk which is and taste very different from the tourist restaurant in Nusa Dua. Even for once the desserts and especially the lemon tart was delicious and could easily be compared to what you can eat at French bakery. In conclusion the best meal we had in south Bali for the last week. Don’t miss the place.

We ate 3 delicious dinners at Nusa Dua Beach Grill while staying at the adjacent Mulia Resort. We enjoyed garlic bread, chicken skewers with rice and stir-fry veg, seafood pizza, mahi mahi burger, and for dessert we loved tira misu, pancake and grilled bananas. The beach view was lovely, and so convenient to our Resort.

Terrible food. Sat in dark couldn't see anything. Starters did not come together. Plates not cleared before main brought out. No new cutlery given for main. Food covered in sauce, cold and really not very nice. Can not understand previous reviews. They did give us free lift home which we were glad of.
