I have stayed at this hotel quite a few times.The hotel is in a great location also being right next to the beach walk mall.The staff are very friendly . while dining at the restaurant i had great service especially from staff member named Arin .Arin made me feel very welcome and the service Arin gave was really excellent.

I live in Bali and stay here when I come to Kuta. It is in a great position opposite the beache and next to Beachwalk Mall. It is a large older style BALI hotel but is well maintained and clean. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast is not lavish but more than adequate.

Our staffs are indeed friendly plus the hotel is strategically placed in the center of Kuta. As you mentioned, Grand Istana Rama located just across Kuta Beach and beside shopping center.

To top it off, our varieties of breakfast ranging from eggs station, noodle soup station, waffle station etc has satisfied the appetite of our guests.

Great Hotel. Comfortable, excellent service, well located. Very nice pool area and excellent food. Patio in front over looking the walk way and to the beach was nice. Well kept facility. I would go back and stay at this hotel.

It was a good time in there. The hotel near to kuta and beachwalk mall and also surrounded by so many cafe. The service was excellent. One thing that bothering me was there's no elevator, so when im checking out its kinda hard to carry on my luggage. Overall nice experience

Unless you have other reasons and must stay here then AVOID IT !
As other reviews have stated nothing will be done about your issues and they seem to be ongoing issues and really - the hotel doesn’t care , they will just reply with their “warmest greatings from happening hotel “
The only thing that is happening in this hotel is a sewage smell .
We paid $115 a night for our deluxe cabin (the plunge pool rooms are $148 at the stones we found out yesterday - 5 star Hotel that’s immaculate, we ate here a few nights )
Our room was a great size .. that’s it .
We had a mozzie coil and the insect burner going the whole time and where still getting bitten at night .
The bathroom smelt like raw sewage - it’s was sooooo offensive we had to hold our breath in the mornings until we opened a new air freshener . It was like Bali in 1988 .
The hot water took from 15-20min to actually heat up .
We went for a swim and left the hot running and it was warm when we returned , even then the trickle of water out of the tap wasn’t worth the wait .
All channels (out of 55 only 5 were English ) were fuzzy and unwatchable .
The bath foam was simply dishwashing liquid ! Bright green and smelt
Exactly like a bulk dish liquid .
The noise from the next door cabin was as if they where in your room . Every time the door opened and an alarm went off . Basically if the neighbors are awake , so are you .
On arriving later in the evening we ordered room service .... what a joke .
On the 4th choice we finally ended up with something that was actually available .
This was after they rang us 3 times to to tell us what we ordered wasn’t available , they didn’t say when we ordered .
They came to clean our room this morning at 8:20am - it’s crazy !!! And when they do clean your room the bathroom smells more like sewage and they leave the door open so it gets full of bugs and the cool air gets out.
This hotel puts a bad rating on Bali and he staff seem to know the standard is below average but don’t care .
Total rip off !!!!
I understand you get for what you pay for , but we paid $115 a night and 50m down the road we could have had absolute luxury for an extra $30 .
I’m sure I’ll get the same generic reply as everyone else asking for room stay and I forward to engineering but you know what ... it is what it is .
A crap hotel that’s not even cheap to validate the low standard and that’s what it will remain .
We will never stay again and will never recommend.

First of all we would like to thank for your comments. Such a constructive feedback most of the time will make us better and better.

We would like to make a clarification that the fragrance of our softener or spray aroma chemical in hotel we use a high level one. As a matter of fact, some guests like but some do not. That is why after this comment we will be back to the common fragrance like pine, orange, etc. Regarding the mosquito, we are glad to inform that we have a routine pest control treatment in our hotel. We have a huge beautiful garden of 1,7 hectares but so many guests enjoy that and we can say not so much bad things including insects to the guests rooms and for further protection we also provide mosquito’s repellent, anti-mosquito spray in the room. We also provide gentle reminder not to open the door between 6-7pm. To anticipate any small insect; and we also be ready to do extra treatment if you are needed. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.
