Stayed for quite a few days Feb 2018. Fourteen Roses Beach Hotel (theres 2) is tucked back down a side alley behind Pulman away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets. Apart from some rowdy guests one night having a party it's very quiet and laid back. The hotel is very traditional balinese styling.

Pros:
Great price & amazing location - so close to the beach & Azul.
Super helpful/friendly staff although not so good on their english at times.
Free on site security box to use.
Nice, fresh & great tasting room service with AMAZING pizza.
Nice sized rooms with balcony overlooking the pool area + HUGE ensuite.
Freezing cold Air con - a must for Feb in Bali.
Nice buffet breakfast but limited selection. They will make you omlette on request.

Cons:
Dated rooms need a freshen up with paint or lighting or something - very bland.
Furniture is in need of desperate TLC - kick and scuff marks all over everything.
Floor was dirty upon arrival however was cleaned the next morn upon request
Sagging mattress in need of replacement.
Hot water takes FOREVER to arrive through the shower head.
Very little water pressure.
Door slide lock falling off the door.
Snail speed wifi with limited reception inside bedrooms.

friendly staff, nice and quite when we stayed there. food was ok to eat. bed comfortable but the mattress was a little worn as springs sagged in middle of the bed. nice place to stay if you are on a budget. close to some restaurants. can be hard to find as gets drivers confused with other one with same name

The hotel is in a quiet street 150 meters from the beach, and less to shopping and many local restaurants. The rooms are large and airy with cable TV aircon hot water shower and big bath cleaned daily. The staff try to help and when spoken to slowly and clearly they will do there best to please, but remember its a low cost hotel but still feels like you get more than what you pay for. The pool is deep and cool, breakfast is basic buffet with 2 or 3 dishes plus toast, fruit and 2 eggs any way you like, coffee, tea, and fruit drink (not juice, but thats ok for such a reasonable price). Book on line for a great deal.
