We stayed here for 5 days. It is undoubtedly the best resort we have ever stayed at, and we have stayed at many upscale resorts in the world. The location, the service and the whole ambience is awe inspiring. Very quite and serine resort. Spread over 50 acres, the resort only has 88 rooms. The resort is so vast that except for in the restaurant, you hardly see any other guests. In the 5 days we stayed there, we did not see even one car pull in front of the resort. Not a place for small children since there is not much for them to do in this place.
We were celebrating our anniversary. When we checked in, the room was decorated with balloons and roses. The day before we checked out, it was again decorated with rose petals for "Happy Birthday in advance" since my birthday was around the corner
(see pictures).
There were several employees who deserve special mention: Akshay, Rajpal, Vedant and Adarsh in the restaurant; Anubhav and Karan in the bar, Harsh and Nikhil in housekeeping. All went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Special thanks to Roma, the Spa supervisor for her "beauty" tips to my wife, and to Latika, the Yoga instructor who in addition to running the Yoga class, wrote out a Yoga work out for me to follow at home. The management and the staff even gave us parting gifts!! Never that happened to us ever anywhere else in the world.
One blemish during the stay was incorrect bill when we checked out. The spa treatment was double charged. The Happy Hour drinks that were to be half price were first priced double and then discounted 50% to the regular full price. They blamed it on a new software that had been installed two days earlier. Apologies accepted.
Will stay here again next time we are in India.
