We visited on 31st March 2018 which is typically blooming time for Tulip flora hence we got an opportunity to explore the beauty of "The Tulip Festival-2018".
The Tulip festival usually last for 15-20 days only. The colours of flowers and the location itself is a beauty.

Visited the garden on March 29th. It was a riot of colors despite the fact the flowering was only 50% being early in the season. I believe in a weeks time it would be in full bloom. Although it was as colorful as ever but I did not see any newer varieties, may be those were yet to bloom. The biggest issue is the area for parking the vehicles outside the garden which is inadequate. The entry ticket dispensing booths can do better. while they have two of such booths only one was functional with long queues. Over all this is a must see garden while being in Kashmir or even making a purpose specific trip to the valley of Kashmir in April.

We visited in last week of March when the garden had just been opened. The tulips were in full bloom but still very small in height. It was such a beautiful sight to see the tulips in different colours in full bloom. I hope by April end, it will be even more beautiful sight to see the full grown tulips. The garden is huge and charges an entry fee of Rs 50 per person. I am told that the entrance fees are hiked with every passing day.

Be there during the season to see the full bloom of Tulips. Well maintained and worth the visit for 3 hours. Ideal time would be around 4pm and stay till sunset over Dal Lake.
