Its up in hills and is ved switzerland of india, you get a good view of mountains, greenery etc. One need to hire a horse to reach there, youngsters can trek as well. Lota of bargaining happens at pony stall.

This one here is absolutely amazing. You can walk so, there is a trail, but not too long. We have ponies as well. It was drizzling when we went and ponies could be dangerous too as its very slippery. Be very careful. The lush greenery once we reach is place is amazing.

Eating hot soothing Maggi in such cold is an amazing experience. Dont miss it in Pahalgam

To start with, you'll have to bargain a lot with the horse owners. They'll usually start with exhorbitant prices like 1200 per person or something even higher,we finally bargained to 600 per person.
Next, you have no idea what you're in for.
The way to this place is so crazy that I recited my prayers like a million times, well at least more than I ever have at once. There's no proper way, just steep mountains. It starts out flat, but at one point, the horse is climbing up a practically vertical mountain, and you're left wondering why you're putting yourself through this.
Once we reached Baisaran, the view was certainly beautiful, but definitely not worth all the 'scared-to-death' moments I put myself through.
This could well be because I had spent 3 months in Ladakh before travelling to Kashmir,& had therefore seen more beautiful places, but as per me,visiting this place is certainly not for the faint-hearted.

This place is situated in Pahalgam , But just 4-5 km away from main city. One can reach there by trekking or by riding ponies. We chose pony to reach there as we were very tired , and didn’t want to walk. The pony ride was for 5-6km stretch. The hilly roads was very bad and we were scared that we might fall down the cliff. But when we reached it was so refreshing and we were welcomed by an awesome view. There were many activities to engage kids and adults both. We had no energy to play anything or do any activities after long pony ride so we just sat in this beautiful valley and enjoyed tea and noodles .

U have to take a poni to reach this place from the market. A poni is a short heighted horse. The price of the poni varies with season, we paid around 1000 per person it can go higher in full season.
The view is awesome at the top, if u have gumboots, use them before taking the poni, it would be very useful.
