The place in itself has a vast range of old weapons, dressess and what not supposed to be used in the days of the rule of Dogra rulers. Mubarak Mandi used to be the place where court was held. The museum also has a hand operated lift which was used by the rulers.
A good place to make your kids familiar with the things used by Dogra rulers when they ruled the place from Jammu to Ladakh.

It is beleived to have nice art collection and a formof meuseum with all necessary cultural heritage collections accumulated.

It is aslo called as Hari palace on the name of Raja Hari. It is also called as Amar Mahal meuseum.

It has nice curving and mouldings like a palace view from the garden.

It was way to Raj Bhawan on right and Hotel Hari Palace just Back of the meuseum gate.

winter timings are from 10 to 5pm and summer timings are extended till 6 in the evening.

For the paintings - small, delicate, entirely mesmerising - I would go again and again. They are well lit, hung at eye-level hence easy to study. The ticket price is ridiculously low. The views of the Tawi River from the garden outside were special too.
