There were some positives about the hotel like online check in and digital keys, a clean room, helpful front desk staff, and prepackaged breakfast boxes. Unfortunately there were also a few negatives -- the room was very small and we could hear every single footstep in the room above us. It made it nearly impossible to sleep the two nights were there.

Room tip: Top floor!

We stayed here for one night to visit White Sands National Park. Covid has made New Mexico challenging. While we got to see sunset in the park, most of the local restaurants were closed. We decide to go to the hotel to check in only to nearly being run over and then threatened by one of Alamogordo's residents. It was surreal. We had a great night sleep and the hotel is close and convenient to the park. However, the threat and an incredibly slow, only elevator made this our least favorite stay.

I have stayed at Hilton properties all over the country so we decided to stay here for 2 nights. You can tell the building is showing it's age but the property has done a good job to update it as best as they can. Our room was very clean and quite comfortable while the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is located in a great location right next to a few restaurants and shopping should you need anything. There is plenty of parking so no worries there and it was a pleasant experience from start to finish.

No towel rack in bathroom. No where to hang shaving kit. Maybe I’ll go to Lowe’s and buy one. Could be my new mission in life. Travel the country & install towel racks in motel bathrooms.

No ventilation in bathroom. This is endemic in older Hilton properties. I know there is a grill which is in theory connected to a small fan at the end of a long piece of conduit shared by many other bathrooms but in action there is no exhaust in the bathroom. So by the time you are done with your shower you have a swamp.

Actually just a couple of days somewhere that isn't home. Had never seen White Sands.

Of course no breakfast bar during Covid . Hotel front desk will give you a bag breakfast and coffee. Very nice staff.

Overall clean and comfortable.

Johnny Carinos and Chili's within walking distance. Dunkin and Starbucks across the street (walking would be problematic due to size of street and traffic)

Due to covid, most amenities closed. Beds so-so. Room was clean. Breakfast came in a bag which these days seems to be standard for most Hampton inns. Kudos to this location for having hard boiled eggs in addition to yogurt, a bagel, juice and an apple. Nice location for visiting national parks in the area.
