A truly spectacular, modern Christian Church is not necessarily something you wo7kd expect to find in Sharm el Sheikh. From the outside, the building is pure white stone with clean, modern lines and little ornamentation. Inside, though, things are very different. From dome (depicting Christ as Pantocrator – the Almighy – virtually every wall surface is ablaze with paintings depicting Biblical events, notably and appropriately, given the location, from the life of Moses and the life of King David. In the Lower Church which was completed before the upper Church and which has much less lofty than the pain part of the edifice, you can see a series of paintings which you would rarely find in Coptic Orthodox place of worship representing the stations of the Cross, not an especially prominent theme in the Eastern Church. The chairs for the congregation are also unusual.
Texts (where required) in the paintings are usually in English as well as Arabic and Coptic.
The stained glass of the nort transept window represents Moses the Law Giver whilst in the south transept are depicted the Annunciation and the Adoration of the Shepherds.
The artwork is all unexpectedly modern and shows strong Western influence, a strong and powerful blending of approaches to the sacred subjects. Both the architecture and the interior artworks are by Michael an Egyptian based in the United States.

Once you get inside the church you would feel that you’re in another world, you would feel the present of god. If you are in Sharm you must go and visit.

We could not believe it took just 2 artists and 2 years to paint the inside of the church. Every painting is a story from the Bible. This is a must see.
I have never seen a church like this one anywhere in the world.
