Owner description: Boardwalk Hall is a multi-purpose facility located on the iconic Atlantic City Boardwalk and features the 141,000-square-foot main arena with a capacity of 14,770 seats as well as the 23,100-square-foot Adrian Phillips Theater with a capacity of 3,200. Constructed in 1929 as the country’s original convention center, for 85 years Boardwalk Hall has dazzled guests and residents of Atlantic City with legendary stage icons such as Elton John, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, and the Beatles. In 2001, a $90-million restoration project was completed to transform the original convention hall into its current state as a modern special events arena capable of hosting concerts, sporting events and family shows. Boardwalk Hall is owned and funded by the New Jersey Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA). Spectra by Comcast Spectacor provides both Venue Management and Food Services & Hospitality to Boardwalk Hall.

This is a historic venue, and it's evident in the main performance area. The chairs are small. I found that another concert goers was almost on top of my husband. She was a big woman to begin with. We spent the entire night tilted away from her. Steep stairways. Poor views from certain angles. If the place won't be upgraded, management and performers should consider lowering ticket costs.

They have a 12 noon free organ tour that I hope to do soon. A little upset about the condition on the Boardwalk in front of there though. Lots of bolts coming up and hard to walk on.

Take a walk on the boardwalk, so many stores-shops. Have a set on one of the many benches and just watch the people walk by. I found it very entertaining. And a few bars along the way.

The aucoustics were out of this world. If you ever get a chance to see a concert do not miss the chance. It is a turn of the century building with amazing sound.

Our family attended the concert this past weekend @ the Boardwalk Hall. The first half done by Lauper was boring. Most of the songs I never heard before and she had a habit of mumbling comments between songs. Her stage presence consisted of her doing various gyrations on stage and little else. Stewart's performance was far better and saved the show. Getting to seats was an ordeal and the seats were not particularly comfortable. Getting into the hall was very disorganized and started with a long line down the boardwalk. There were no ushers to help find seats which were hard to find easy access to.
