Instead of a Fiore suite, this time we opted for a regular hotel room which was roomy, clean and comfortable with nice décor, up to date furniture and the usual amenities -- refrigerator, coffeemaker, etc. Bathroom was large with a spacious shower very good lighting. Nothing less than I'd expect at this hotel. The casino was clean, brightly lit, and in general well--maintained. Buffet is always very good in all areas - food quality, variety. The Marketplace food court has good choices -- just about everyone can find something they like. The upscale restaurants are all very nice and offer variety. Metropolitan is good for all three meals, Bakery is great for snacks and desserts.

Room Tip: All rooms have a water view -- either ocean or bay.

I've reviewed the Water Club before, which shares the same benefits of The Borgata, being that they share the same Casino and Restaurants. The only key differences come in when you are within their respective towers.

The gym for instance at Borgata (The Pump Room) is bigger and has better equipment, while The Water Club's Fitness Center at Immersion Spa is smaller. The pools are also different. Borgata's are open to all ages (except early in the morning, where it is reserved for adults only, at least at the indoor pool), whereas at the Water Club, it is 18 and above. Since I have a child now, Borgata's indoor pool and gardens works much better for my family and me (when it's still cold outside). When it is filled with kids, you can't expect to do laps, but at least there are two hot tubs for you to relax in.

Room Tip: Suite for the best views of the Atlantic City Strip

The Borgata is the nicest place to stay in Atlantic City. We've stayed at Harrah's and Caesars prior to the Borgata and we won't stay anywhere else from now on. Once you are inside you would think you were in Las Vegas. The restaurants are good and the drink service was pretty good. The bed was so comfortable that we ordered the mattress after we got home!!

The negatives were the check in and check out lines. Way too long and took forever!
The room was gorgeous but everytime the heat went on it was so noisy and the walls were paper thin, heard the people shower and flush, etc!
Now, for the good stuff! My husband plays the ponies and said this was the best facebook he had ever been in and we travel to many casinos around the country! The slots were updated and newer as compared to Harrahs, which is next door and had old machines. The food was great everywhere we went. We liked the Metropolitan for breakfast, especially the raw bar! Starbucks was a nice touch for morning coffee. The people were friendly just seemed short staffed and overworked.I like the security checking keys on way to room; however so busy that everyone just walked past. Take a look at Seminole Hard Rock they know how to do security to rooms for a safe feeling! The place is vast but once you get the hang of it its like a huge circle.I would recommend for a fun weekend away!

Room Tip: try to stay away from elevators and lower floors lots of parties going on with bachelorette birthdays, etc. ask to be away from large groups

Once the " Borgata" was the place. Now its nothing but an old Relic. Upgraded a free room to a Suite 39th floor. I use the term suite lightly. Just a bigger room. Nice view. That's it. Needs to be refurbished and need to model Las Vegas suites. Just a little. The buffet was comped for 2. But closed Tues and Thursday ( Really? ) best part of hotel. The rest is history. No comps to speak of for hours of tables and one eyed bandits. Certainly not at the top of my list. Next time Harrahs or Golden Nugget.
