Had an excellent visit to the aviary with Angel who drove us there in the morning. He was an excellent driver (it takes about 45 minutes to get there) and he went at the pace we needed. The aviary is definitely worth a visit as there are so many different varieties of birds to see there. While the condors and solitary female eagle looked rather lonely, the hundreds of flamingos made quite a sight - and sound. This is an excellent way to see so many of the different birds that are native to Columbia (though I’m not sure why the emu’s were there). And if you like to photograph birds you will want to spend the day here. It’s excellently organized with a path that winds through the different areas - we spent two hours looking and listening to the birds and it seemed to go by too fast.
