Really not worth a visit unless if you are interested in UNESCO sites. There are some pretty peonies & wisterias, pavilions with some displays, ponds & fake rocks. Similar to other Suzhou Classical Gardens, but smaller.

An ancient and secluded beautiful Chinese garden, also recorded as a World Heritage site. Nice and peaceful but always filled with many tourists. Good to visit after spring when the flowers starts to blossom. Also heard this places is beautiful when covered in snow. (It rarely snows in Suzhou)

Our personal driver and guide took us to the Master of The Nets Garden, about a 90 minute drive out of Shanghai. Despite it being a Sunday, the road was extremely busy. (Just as well the driver handled the car like Lewis Hamilton then, otherwise it would have taken a lot longer). Having arrived in one piece, my wife and I truly enjoyed wandering around this Garden, even though it was busy. Could imagine it to be overrun at holiday time. The garden is well laid out and our guide knew the best way around to take it all in and avoid too much congestion. The Bonsai trees were particular attractive.
Although a fair drive out of Shanghai, the visit is rewarding. Tip - Make sure you have a competent driver as we did, just to make sure you get to the garden safely. Seriously though, if you're hiring a car, drive with extreme caution, the motorway to Suzhou is extremely busy and at times downright dangerous. Despite that, a highly recommended trip if you like wandering around gardens.

Our family really enjoyed the Master of the Nets garden and could have spent hours wandering around the place. My daughters also enjoyed the gardens and took tons of pictures.

After visiting the Tingli Water Village we visited this beautiful small garden and the old buildings full of history . The typical Chinese Garden designed with water , very special rocks and all kind of trees were a joy to see .
