The hotel room is spacious and clean, very comfortable. The staff members were very friendly especially concierge Lorre, he was so helpful and thoughtful and made my stay very enjoyable. I’d like to stay again next time in Suzhou.

Had an awesome time at the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful.
In particular, Elliot from the Concierge team, who assisted in the arrangement of transportation via email prior to the stay, (happened to be on duty during our arrival) welcomed us to the hotel, helped with recommendations and arrangement of transport for dinner, and even took time to send us off when we checked out. (Impressed that our luggage was in the vehicle even before the check out was done as Elliot spotted us at the lobby.)
Apart from him, the concierge team, front desk team and the team at the executive lounge were also personal in their service and knowledgeable about the city, being able to provide good guides and recommendations.
The housekeeping team too were friendly and greets us along the way.

We stayed at the Marriott for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Although the hotel is a bit outside the old town, the public transportation system made it readily accessible - to the airport as well as to the historic center of Suzhou. Our room was comfortable and everything worked perfectly, including the wifi. The breakfast in the restaurant downstairs was extensive and a treat for the taste buds. We got a room with access to the executive lounge, and it was terrific. Scott did a particularly impressive job in the lounge - a professional that Marriott can be proud of. We would definitely stay at this Marriott again.

We stayed on the Executive Floor, where the team was friendly, professional and helpful. They took care to learn our names and asked how our trip was going: Scott was particular helpful and attentive. They has helpful suggestions about our program and how to get there, helpfully patient about our wish to use Suzhou’s subway and buses, which are convenient to the hotel if you don’t mind a walk.

Food and wine at happy hour in the lounge were copious and of high quality.

We enjoyed breakfast in the Asia Café on the ground floor. Even by Marriott Asia’s standards it was impressive, with every conceivable Western and Chinese breakfast option. There was an egg/omelette station, a noodle station; congee and oatmeal; fresh seasonal fruit, a wide variety of pastries, including gluten-free. Menu options on the buffet had little variants each morning. Coffee was good and constantly refilled.

Our room was very comfortable, particularly the bed, and quiet. WiFi was strong and reliable, though filtered as in all hotels in China. The enormous, well-appointed bathroom had a tub, and a shower that overlooked the city.

The hotel’s neighborhood is largely residential, and with fewer restaurants nearby than you’d expect. It’s not central and Suzhou’s sites are not nearby. It’s an easy Metro trip to the train station.

We’d certainly stay there again.

The hotel room is spacious and clean.
Free shuttle service is limited timing , Mon - Fri, 7-9pm and need to pre-booking in advance.
The air-con control in the room is not working, all air-con is central control, they set @ 25-26C, it is very warm and stuffy in the room.
Feedback and maintenance checked, set to 24C only for 2-3hrs, back to 25-26C again; hopefully, management can look into the temperature setting to standard room temperature 24C in future.
