We stayed here for one night en route to the Torres del Paine National Park. We wished we had more time to enjoy the quirky construction and décor, which made extensive use of "driftwood", and the facilities. The room was big with a large, very comfortable bed. The choices in the restaurant were limited but the meals were well cooked and presented.

I spent only one night at the Remota with my 2 teenagers.
We loved the very unusual architecture of the place, very simple with sharp angles, natural material...
Do not miss the swimming pool with a beautiful view over the lake.
The dinner we had there was excellent and the view stunning!
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They let you borrow bicycle to ride to town along the lake. It is a nice and safe ride on the bike lanes.
The rooms were very spacious.
We didn't do any excursion with the hotel because we had our own car.

We have stayed for three nights. The design of the hotel is very nice - clean, modern and natural. Especially the lobby looks fantastic. Though we sometimes felt that design comes before function which means e.g. the light concept was very warm at first sight but not so practical - e.g. if your are trying to see something in the bathroom mirror the light is not sufficiently positioned. The rooms are quite spacey and equipped pretty well. We have also had dinner at the restaurant which was very nice and affordable. Breakfast was okay. We were able to take the bikes to head downtown. Staff was very friendly. For a 5 star hotel I would have thought that the overall experience is more spectacular. We got a discounted room rate via booking.com - the initial price would have been far overpriced in my personal opinion. We booked tours via a local agency since we were informed by staff that the hotel tours are very pricy. Not sure what the difference is to allow it to be so much more expensive. Overall a very nice concept hotel but room rates are very expensive as well.

A very interesting hotel built to remind you of old settlement days but with all mod cons. I loved the interesting decorating in the room, the ceiling shower, and the bathrobes and slippers for use. Great views from the restaurant.

The design of this hotel, a long walk from the town of Puerto Natales, is very unusual. Superficially, it looks like something Fred Flintstone & Barney Rubble knocked together after a few pints.

But actually, it is a clever design and constructed with care and attention to detail.

For most guests, more importantly, the bedrooms (and beds), the food, the service, the location and the views are all excellent, with friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel is quite extensive and access to the far wing is down a long covered walkway. Very nippy in the Patagonian summer. You will need to wear your thermals in winter, I guess!

Only real gripe is the lighting in the otherwise well appointed bathrooms, which may be "eco-friendly" but is actually pathetic. Bring a miner's helmet lamp!

Dear Martin

Thank you very much for your feedback.
We are very glad that you enjoyed your stay at Remota, the excursions, the food and the architecture.

The Remota building design is unique because it simulates a barn sheep shearing, the purpose is to highlight the unique authentic activity of the Patagonia that is practiced until nowadays, the sheep shearing.

Regarding your comments about the ilumination of the bathroom, we are always working to improve, thats why the opinion of our guests is very important for us.

We will be happy to have you again in our Lodge.
Kind regards,

Remota´s team
