I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, 5 days. I had a wonderful time at the end of January/beginning of February 2020. The staff is very attentive and constantly asking / offering help for anything you can imagine. The breakfasts are plentiful and you order off a menu but can eat as much as you want from (eggs, cereals, meats/cheeses, yogurt, fruits, bread and croissants, pho to name some of the of the items). The swimming pool is salt water (not chlorine) which makes it very nice! The spa was great and I had a 4 hand massage and would highly recommend it! They start by washing your feet in the waiting area and then bring you to the room which has lovely flowers (orchids/lilies) floating in the water when you lie down on the table to look at when you begin your massage. The room was fabulous with a great bed, spacious bathroom, and great views of the pool. I did have AC and it worked just fine not sure about other reviews I have read. I did have a 2-day tour of Siem Reap that was organized through the hotel.
- The driver was wonderful but will say I wish I had a different guide.
- If you are a family or single the tour guides seem to cater more to larger groups. I think I wouldn't have gotten as much out of Siem Reap without the tour guide but still wish he had been willing to give more history, explanation, and stay with me during our visits at each site. Often, he would encourage me to climb up a temple or explore on my own. I did see other groups with their guides at the tops of these historic sites giving a nice description or explanation. The only exception is Angkor Wat's main temple you have to climb yourself. All the other sites you can have your tour guide go with you to all the sites. I would encourage you to ask in detail about what the tour guide will and will not do and options for lunch as it was not clear. Finally, study a map of the complex and figure out where you want to go and make sure it's on your itinerary. You may also want to check again as you are driving to Angkor Wat with your guide to make sure the itineary set up is the one you will be doing that day. They are flexible but things can get cut out or skipped so just be mindful. Also, never leave the Tuk Tuk or car without water as the drivers often leave from one side of the temple to meet you on the other side.
